Also, the White Frost could have absorbed some of her powers and the game could be about her getting them back in order to stop another apocalypse. There's no reason why they can't make her weak at the beginning of the game, they do that all the time including with Geralt, look how powerful he was at the end of W2 and then he gets killed by drowners and ghouls in W3 over and over.

The ones that turns all armor to light medium/heavy is useful for specific builds. Medium armor + Griffin techniques is one of the highest stamina regen gains you can have.
Severance's increase to whirl and rend's range is self-explanatory.
Invigoration (+50% damage from excess healing) is significant when you already hit hard and it rewards you for not taking damage. Goes well with water hag and self healing decoctions.

Daily reminder that there was going to be a bit fight scene in Novigrad but it got cut.
The Wild Hunt would have attacked, after the fight at Skellige. Nilfgaardian and Redanian forces would also have been fighting in the background. The Wild Hunt would have destroyed the main square, and in general, there would have been a lot of chaos. I recall that Iorveth would have fought there, as well as the King of Beggars.
Related to Geralt, he would have been teleported to several different smaller maps, like the alleyways of Rivia and a version of Novigrad that was decrepit, with a Leshen guarding a mental asylum. Eredin's battle would have been there. I believe the teleports he uses on Skellige, to drag Geralt around, are the remnants of this idea.
This was actually still being worked on in mid-late 2014, so they cut it quite late.
