After playing the jp release, I find the unique stone change is good but the regular stone shouldn't have happened. Spirit stone slots is part of balancing certain character, having all stats available on all stone colors just ruins that. At most one new rare stone should be added to every element and that would allow for another set of uniques.

I think it is needed.
But it is good that stats like CR and CAR is still locked to specific color.
Stats like Pen is too impportant to be locked out of specific strikers, which end up needing power units like pre nerf Luka/Sila to fix it. Otherwise striker like William will need to have everything baked in to make up for his shitty stone slots.
It makes balancing easier.
