Yes, the guild has to make money through guild quests, but the amount you can receive from the guild into your personal funds every day is dependent upon your guild activity. So if you don't play a lot you won't receive a lot either, no matter what guild. Savvy?
Guild quests give the guild funds and a lot of guild skill xp that is used for guild skills like those permanent buffs I talked about, and give you a lot of activity. Guild skill xp is also generated very slowly while gaining very slow activity through normally playing the game.

I was under the impression that joining a guild was basically the leader getting to make their own contract and it basically being "If you do enough of X in Y period, you get Z gold" with X being killing so many enemy guild people, providing so much of a resource, etc.

Basically buy the set you need off the market place, upgrade it with blackstones from mobs and your daily scrolls (once you get to lvl 50).
Get "Mark of Shadow" rings, Witches Earrings, Tree Spirit Belt or Gladiator Belt, and go for a DUO/TRI Bares Necklace until you get an Ogre Ring.
Slowly get boss armor and a Liverto, then upgrade to Kzarka weapon, from world bosses or the market if you're lucky.

Musa can do full grunil, or 3 peice Taritas with Agerian gloves. If you end up with shit tons of money, you could do 3 piece Taritas with red Nose armor.
I'm not sure how viable Taritas or Rednose is since we have a lot more MP now, since they got rid of rolls.

More levels means more acc, evasion, health, and mana.
More acc means they won't miss you and they negate your dp.
More evasion means you'll miss them more often. (pretty noticeable 2-3+ levels ahead)
Easier levels go both ways. Sure 55 is easy, but now 57/58 for them is much more viable, and there's already plenty of them there. A few are on there way to 59.
More PvE AP means the geared autists are even more guaranteed to get the top loot at world bosses.
So it's a win/win for everyone.

So I finally got around to doing the hard/sharp black crystal lifeskill quests... and I can't see them. NPCs don't offer them, despite Black Spirit guiding me to them. I don't have any quest type filtered in quest log window.

You will be shocked with awakenings. The skills unlock at 56 and go up to 62. The difference between levels can be up to 200% weapon scaling. If awakening are out and I can run around as a level 59 char I will farm twice as fast as you do on 56. I will also kill you way faster.

I got a couple skill resets and the awakening ones are like a free mem frag for awakening skills.
Some classes rely on combos, but they're pretty set in stone as far as what's most efficient, so there's not a lot of room for creativity.
Just good to know how a class you're fighting flows, what moves have cc/block/super armor, what does damage, what you can avoid or cancel them out of, etc...
