Sure it's great in the early game, but it takes up a whole draw for a zero-value effect. After dumping their spells and losing board, aggressive tempo mages run out of steam real quick. It's basically game over when they topdeck the mirror image late in the game while their opponent is developing a high drop.

N'zoth rouge is perfectly viable but weak against zoo. I was at 90% winrate last night until i ran into zoo decks. Still great for climbing. Xaril is worse than violet teacher unless you're facing predominantly control decks.
Gormok is not essential but provides extra burst. You will have the board to proc him most of the time. Zoo is still retardedly easy for laddering without him.

my first 4 legendaries were a lorewalker, hogger, grull and illidan. I've since then unpacked several legendaries including a golden hogger, golden overspark another lorewalker, sneeds and the beast. Since I started playing again for wotog I got Captain Greenskin, Nat Darkfisher, and my first useful unpacked legendary, golden n'zoth!
