Yeah, 99% of people who download mods don't pay attention to that sort of thing. They read the compatibility notes, download the mod, and remember the author's name. Hell, I put in dozens of Hours into UU and Maxwells and I doubt 5% of the people who download it will even know who I am. The only time most mod users visit forums or comments is to ask for help and shit.

More likely I'll go ahead and make a More Uniques mod, using UU as a starting point. Granted, I'm not the script wizard train is, but looking through CK and studying it for Godzilla has given me some ideas. LikeBurning Sensation, a gun that deals bonus fire damage after you fuck CaitIvory Baithook, a fishing hook that frenzies enemies below a certain intTall midday, which would grant 100% accuracy in vats between 11AM and 1 PMAn umbrella gun and umbrella cane.
I would quite like to remodel some of the far harbor uniques, though, but that can wait till nuka comes out.

What's the general consensus on fallout 4 here?
At first I made a pure speech/charisma build hoping I could talk and sneak my way throughout the entire game. It became apparent rather quick that the game wasn't made for that kind of thing.
Then I tried making a 1 intelligence pure strength melee build, but there wasn't any change in dialogue options and all it did was lock me out of a ton of options later on, plus the game clearly doesn't intend for pure melee builds and he became a stimpak sponge, especially around the Revere Satellite Array.
Finally I made an average joe, a jack of all trades but with a slight bump to charisma and intelligence. This time the run goes really smoothly, sniping from afar, combat shotgun upclose, laser musket 4charge for sticky situations.
It's disappointing to me that the game isn't optimized for effective different playstyles. No quest has really stood out yet that much either writing wise other than maybe the Travis one, which was atleast a bit interesting.

Brilliant game. Closest Bethesda have ever come to the kind of game they have wanted to make for ages now. Characters that actually read as human for once with their dialogue which things like NV and 3 never had.
I think it's really interesting how so much of the plot and backstory was inferred and not directly confirmed or denied. I think they did push the uncertainty a bit too far, but honestly it doesn't take away from the game at all. I still play it and I still discover new things about it, even after playing for 756 hours
I think it needs about twice the DLC it's currently scheduled to have, and I think that would be a great opportunity to flesh out what happens after the various endings. There was obviously so much they had planned that hasn't made it into the game, and I think they're silly if they don't put it in.

there are playstyle differences, but they're not obvious until you're familiar with the mechanics. at a really high level (75+) the differences start becoming less distinct.
all the playstyle differences revolve around the characters approach to combat.
Charisma builds have their intimidation talents, which can shut down enemies or force them to fight for you.
stealth archer is easy, stealth blitz is op
craft builds get their damage and resistances more from good gear than combat perks and can level up quick from settlement building
chem and alcoholic builds tend to compliment more aggressive playstyles.
you're not going to get a different story based on your perk choices though.

Lots of choice in terms of viable builds, equipment, companions, settlements, factions. Fun combat, nice asthetic, worldbuilding is top notch for a sandbox game.
Bethesda games haven't been about deep story and epik writing for over a decade now, though each game (including F4) does have a handful of well-written quests and dialogues.

Are there any mods that create a real good reason to bother with base building?
I am playing fo4 on the ps4 and I am surprised at how fast the load times are, I was expecting two or four minutes long loading times just like in the ps3 with skyrim, but so far the loading times are no higher than 20 seconds.
I wish I could still play on pc, but my video card is rebooting the system every five minutes if I play fallout4/witcher 3 on max settings, until my new power supply unit comes in the mail I can only play on my friend ps4.
