From the times I had constant DCs because of my ISP, I noticed that SO doesn't really has a "let's wait a couple of seconds to see if it's just lag or a real DC" mechanism. For example, inleague of legendsthere's the "attempting to reconnect" message you get if your connection drops, but SO just right away disconnects you ASAP. Have you checked if it might be related to your connection?
There's the usual reinstall/install gentoo/get a new PC advice too.
