Junkit let's you automatically sell junk and other things to vendors the second you open up their inventory as well as auto repair your gear. It has kinda fallen into disrepair and gets errors fairly often, but nothing stops it from still working for the most part.
Honestly I've lost track of any DBM equivalents outside of Raidcore for, well raids. Dungeon-wise I'm not sure what, if anything, is available.
There are multiple damage meters worth using at the moment, you can honestly just go shopping for one on Curse and be okay.
If you don't want to go looking though, I use NexusMeter personally.
Should probably pair it with ThreatMeter while you're at it so that you don't piss off any tanks.

Most endgame sets are from rep grinds or bought after killing bosses/completing dungeons
As far as I know, store currency is gained slowly ingame and paying $$$ is just a shortcut, and there's not a single store costume I like anyway

What you have to understand is that every single class in the game is flexible. All six classes can do damage; Espers, Spellslingers and Medics can heal, while Engineers, Stalkers and Warriors can tank.

There's really no point in not just making runes at the station with whatever fragments you have on hand though.
Runes are really strong and you can't use the lesser fragments for higher quality gear.
Trading them up isn't worth it and the other resource from crafting runes, the elements, are stupid common so just stop by the rune crafting station when you're in your capital city and make whatever you can.

Challenges are indeed unrelated to quests. However, completing enough challenges well enough give you the opportunity to earn free stuff. Plus, once you earn enough points and claim all rewards, the track restarts, meaning you can immediately earn new rewards.

This is the Esper leap. It's kind of shit but it does the job of moving you from point A to B. Use it to get away from dangerous stuff (with a little heal), jump over gaps you couldn't normally, or use it at the last second from a big fall to negate fall damage.

This is a very reliable interrupt. When an enemy is making telegraphs, you can slap them with this to get a moment of opportunity. Pair it with Crush and you can break higher armor targets. Barring that it's also a knockback, for a ranged class you can see how that's useful.

Yeah, shockwave has that problem. Try to push them into a wall. Lots of mobs have more than one interrupt armor, and it won't push them if they still have armor when it hits so jam it first before crush.
As for Projected, I don't really heal but said heal is more incidental. The real reason to use it is to move, if you don't need that take something else.

Well, I've been totally sucked into this game.
I didn't get into it much in Beta but now I've been really loving it.
My worst issue is being unable to decide between two class/builds!

I really like a Utility-Warrior, just normal DPS but with Power Link and a 8 point Emergency Reserves to boost group shields (which seems like a rare ability). Probably sneak in another AMP or skill to help boost utility.
Other is Esper, I'm pretty good with mostly heal-focus but I do like the Assault AMP herd of eye-monsters and the normal eye-monster, so would probably invest for them, to help DPS and keeping me alive.
I haven't made 20 yet with either, so still in early stages, but I hate doing content twice, so close together, so I'd like to pick one or the other.
I realize the Esper will probably get more groups as a healer, but the warrior seems like it may be more of a rare and useful commodity: Boosting DPS and shield-heals seem like something most classes don't have.
I really don't want to be "that guy", but how is the player base looking? I thought wild star was "ded "gaem"

I enjoy the "feel" of the Warrior and Esper, maybe I just like hitting things with swords (even brain swords). I also like bringing more than just DPS to the table.

It's an item that goes into your inventory.
When you use it it gives you a buff that makes you look like a Lopp and gives you a dance ability.
Removing the buff reverts your form until you use it again, and it has a faster base run speed than you normally do.

It really doesn't work if your DPS overgears the shit out of you. But as long as you aren't in quest greens and they're in DS gear it's okay. Remember that your R boosts threat too and the cooldown will be reduced by Power Link.

Yes, it's trying to train you to get good. There's a few things to pick up from it. The bosses do have a lot of health, IMO they could reduce it to account for the fact that everyone will suck at level 10, but it's high because they want you to learn what to do too.
Important lessons:
1) Interrupt boss telegraphs for moments of opportunity - This is one of the most important mechanics in the game. The enemy is stunned and takes 50% more damage.
2) Get the fuck out of the red stuff - Telegraphs, most of the time, aren't "whoops I got hit oh well", they're "fuck I got hit I'm dead". Do not think your healer can keep you alive if you keep tanking them, because if everyone is even-geared for an instance they don't have time to spend on it.
3) SPRINT - You can sprint in combat too! Hold shift. Very important for getting out of red stuff.
4) Dash - Doubletap a direction to dash. Also very important for getting out of red.
