Every time some e-sports wannabe whines about how games take "too long" or whatever, I am going to bring up how real life athletes spend more time on one play than e-sports kids do in one game. Boost takes 99 damage to fill but 35 to be depleted, the thing is it's so easy to fill it's not even funny.
Sentries and scout fuck you over unless you manage to get a quick meatshot in before the other scout gets you, but even then even at 0 boost you move only about 10% slower.
You probably don't want to get into prolonged firefights, as you only have 4 shots.

I played Pyro in a pl_upward lobby today. My team lost both matches: sniper and spy played horribly, soldier having direct hit had awful aim, demo and engi were non-existent (engi built on last point at the beginning of the match because he had no idea of what to do) , scout was ok, medic was good and heavy was a dick. This said, it was a funny match. I had the second best score in my team at the end of the match, Medic being the first.
