Meh, warlock feels so boring. Destruction is somewhat super slow and affliction is weird, just very weird. Are they getting any good in Legion? For me they were fun to play during SoO patch and while KjC was permanent and not this stupid 35s cooldown.
My opinion on leveling zones:
Azsuna > Val'Sharah > Highmountain > Stormheim
Azsuna is easy to travel through and has good lore relating to blue dragons and naga.
Your opinion on Val'Sharah will differ on whether you like druid shit or not. It does have a cool Gilneas settlement and also an ancient Night Elf stronghold.
Highmountain is mediocre, like Grizzly Hills 2.0 but with Tauren. The goal here is to unite all Tauren clans. Also main hub is a bluff so having to take an elevator up and down to refresh on quests is a pain in the ass.
Stormheim is literally Howling Fjord 2.0 lorewise. The place is also a fucking mess to travel around and also has a shitload of seemingly never-ending quests. I suggest doing this one first or second just to get it over with.

Pandaren shadow priest would most likely research sha mostly out of curiosity, and in time learn more about the old gods etc which would also lead to void knowledge and power.

Pretty much, yes. Demon Hunters are going to be confirmed over-played till at least a few months into the expansion. That means there's going to be more tanks and DPS than there is currently. So, I guess if you wanted to be relevant now as well as in Legion, roll something that can heal.
