No they actually don't, it only took like 6 hits and I was dead. All they can do is drag things, and once they're dead they're dead, the body can't be revived. They die to almost anything, a stray thrown object will do it. It is taking people out of the round.

If you can show me that the shade message implicitly says 'Protect your master' then maybe I'll consider changing my mind about writing a ban request for non-antag murder. But then, when your master is dead, who is there to protect? And hunting down someone who is cuffed and brigged is hardly protecting anyone. The Mask is an antag item, no matter how you look at it. You aren't creating golems from the ghosts and bringing in players who either didn't join or are dead and forgotten, you're ripping them from their bodies when they have a chance to be revived, and removing them from the round. He even said he was talking to the admins during this, so there's no way he didn't know of it's effects.

Obviously there are Bay and Polaris, but people here don't generally like them and I can't personally speak for either.
I generally hear good things about d20 and Urist, but I also hear they tend to be really empty.
I do know of one very, very small heavy RP server that the few who play on it really enjoy, but it's only open on weekends when pretty much all its players can get on at once and it's likely people used to a 4chan server wouldn't exactly... fit in there. Parallax doesn't lag anymore since Clusterfack optimized it. It's caused a host of other bugs related to a Byond bug regarding SEE_PIXELS, but lag is not one of its issues. It does, however, use your inbuilt hardware to make the parallax, so if you're suffering low framerate try disabling it.
Goonlights perform very slightly worse than the lighting system that we already had, and it's not like we were hurting for processing power.
You just assume these things are laggy because they are new and obvious and the lag is new and obvious, but correlation does not equal causation.
If you want to know, for a fact, what is causing lag, ask Clusterfack or someone else with profiling access that can actually see what processes are using the CPU the most.

Shunt is alright since it has an argument. You secure the fucking pinpointer at roundstart out of good practice. The AI shunts during malf, the pinpointer points right to it and you collect your malfvalids.

It fucking better. I discovered this myself when I was nut deep in an APC and the timer didn't increase. I was livid. I had that AI dead to rights with locations on multiple BSOD'd APCs and we were gonna get it without the pinpointer.
Yes the AI, if it has any sense, will tell a borg to go janitor instead of security and immediately garbage bag that fukken pinpointer where it will never ever ever get free from. But if you have a Captain then that Captains job is to secure the business. And if you don't it's securities job to make sure the HoP/A Head/or themselves do it.
