a competant team can simply ignore a dva as a nnoying fly if you really want to do that type of playstyle.
what you want to do as dva is basically camp an objective control point on defense or escort a vehicle the ENTIRE way. DO NOT FUCKING LEAVE THAT VEHICLE FOR NOTHING. she is actually ver hard to kill when using the escort as additional cover and if you have a mercy heal slut she is basically unkillable. if you dont have a he alslut then it is very important to know where large health packs are. just Q out when ur load, grab large pack, and Q back in on obj.
she is not good at attacking, dont use her to attack a point unless you can trust your team. the only acceptions to this rule are escort missions or maps like illois.

Putting aside the fact that I hate her, and feel like she's the most un-fun thing to play against, you're actually right. I never thought about it, but I honestly cannot think of anything that Mei does that feels like you NEED it sometimes. Like, she doesn't hard counter anything, she's just there. We already have counters to the flankers, we have tanks that suppress lots of spam, we have Torb, Bastion, Junkrat, Pharah, a lot of things for locking down a single area.
She really doesn't do anything, or bring anything to the table. She's just an annoying character that exists to be annoying, and if anything just add a plus sized girl to the roster. She's stupid.

I picked up the game recently, so I'm like lvl 22 or something but it feels like I'm matched with bunch of potatos nearly everygame. My team usually ends up picking something like 2x widow, genji and two other offensive heroes, then they do nothing all game, and I either end up winning the game 1v6(sometimes 3v6) because half of the team does nothing. I am in situation where I can either pick tank and end up killed by entire enemy team because mine won't bother or an offensive hero where I will at least take most of their team down along with me. Where doest this lack of thinking disappear?

what you do as d.va is very dependent on the map you play. what maps are you specifically having trouble with as d.va?
as for doing damage, basically her damage potential comes from shredding other tanks, including other d.vas. roadhogs are especially delicious for her. as a dva i make sure to harass 2 types of people the most, mercy sluts and tanks. lucio is pretty hard to kill, especially a decent one, you cant get close enough to a mccree or reaper to without them 2 shotting you, harassing a tracer is retarded and same goes for genji, and 76 depends on how good or bad he is. so most of the offense line up you cant really deal significant damage to without them killing you or farming there ult on you.
this leaves the def, tank, and support tree to do pretty much free damage on anytime you want. you can EASILY fuck over tjor turrets as d.va on top of killing the tjor. bastion is tricky, but if you can get behind him without him seeing you he is also a free kill.

offensive payload torbjorn is actually good. you can slap a level 2 on the payload when you get a couple seconds, then bugger off to the flanks and use your 150 damage shotgun to kill tracers and shit who think they're cool.
on top of that, you can make everyone on your team significantly tankier. and if you're ever losing a fight, molten core makes you a god of war.
you can also molten core when you know a big defense is nearby. at that point your turret is borderline unkillable and will either deal a shit ton of damage or force the defenders to ignore your team and focus the turret.

D.Va is incredibly fun to play this way and is underutilized as a harasser. Defense Matrix -> Boost -> Destroy -> Boost is very effective against static defenses (Turrets, Bastions, Widowmakers) and other tanks (other D. Vas, Reinhardts (boost behind and the reinhardt gets confused), Roadhogs and Winstons.
Sure you have to choose your battles, Lucios and Genjis will push your shit in, and Mei gives me trouble as well. I avoid those battles anyways.
And of course when you die, try to stay far away and just shoot people from across the map until you get your ult. The pistols range is insane, and you can have your meka back in 20-30s.
I'm still a noob though, only ~28 hours of playtime, 18 of that D. Va.

That's totally not true.In a really long range fight you will loose to Hanzo or Widow since they have oneshot potential on you.
In a close 1v1 Genji and Mei are probably McCrees hardest counter.Genji can deflect his flash and there loose the 1v1 or can dodge alot of bullets with movements.With Mei you have the problem if she first hits you,its certainly you loose that 1v1.Mei also slows your ability to aim and if she moves right you can't hit her with the fan,also her iceblock heals her.And if you are ever frozen it's over.
Tracer can also be a problem,if played good.
Roadhoag also is very deadly,if you eat the hook you die.He also survives the stun and has selfheal.

So what is a team kill? I get them so rarely but when I do the announcer lady is all loud and excited, "TEAM... KILL!"
