Original idea was that Halo 5 was going to be split into two games, two separate campaigns, but a shared multiplayer (which all makes sense considering 343i's announcement that the Reclaimer Trilogy was going to become the Reclaimer Saga to allow for more games), but that idea may or may not have been dropped in favor of just rolling out Halo 6. Locke wasn't a test to replace John, but John's story is coming to a close within the next few years (he probably won't die). Cortana going rampant and staying alive via the Composer was planned since the start (assuming before Halo 4's development).

Keyes bothers me because it's the only level in the game that has infinitely spawning enemies, and it just feels... off compared to the rest of the game for me.
Halo also never did it for me like it does for everyone else. I know it's the signature level that showed off the open world concept but even in 2001 I just got almost bored.
I have never hated the library. I grew up with Doom and have no problem with the game pausing to emulate that feeling.
