Like I said. on the brigand daggers dash > r1 > dash you can only be hurt in the very very very short period the r1 takes place. The dashes act as an almost move cancel thing and cut's the thing right to the chase.
You can literally just chip people to death with full safety. If you got hit, you got unlucky and they hit during that brief window, in which case it's your fault for attacking, could've just went straight to another dash again.
If you so want, you can just dash all you want in a row and be completely immune until you decide to throw out the r1.
When you see a parry attempt coming, you swing around behind and L1 stun instead.

Five games in and you haven't realized how From is lazy in some regards? The way they develop games is almost certainly them just piling things on until final release, almost never going back and actually taking things out: poise in DaS3 is one of very few exceptions to this rule.

Does physical absorption do anything? I mean I know thrust/smash/slash or whatever they're called do, but does "physical" do anything? Are there any weapons with attacks that are "pure physical" or is the physical absorption just applied to all physical attacks on top of thrust/slash/whatever?

Isn't it the specific attack what determines if you're dealing thrust/slash/smash? I thought standard just meant it had a mixture of those three attacks.
