punching with power armour is fun
you can upgrade power fists and other unarmed/melee weapons, but there are not as many options, and less "baseline" weapons compared to NV so even including modded varieties you still have less.
on the other hand the perks avaliable synchronize really well with different kinds of melee/H2H builds imo.
I played a sneaky fast strike ninja and had some good fun with it, if only there was a reliable way to craft stealthboys or some sneaking armour like the Chinese suit in FO3 for late game

NV had more variety for sure, and learning new fighting moves from NPCs was a nice touch, but it was hampered by FO3's engine which was pretty shit for it imo.

Except Bethesda.net, however, a place where they can't make mods instantly vanish, block people from their mod pages, or delete comments any time they want. That's the real reason they're throwing a fit. That's the real reason they don't just adapt and upload to Bethesda.net first. 1800 DPS makes everything super fast and unprecise on the menus and while aiming.
600 dps makes everything super slow on normal mode.
