The difference is that Valencia encourages PK, that KR has proper Sieges/Node Wars and that it has awakenings. All of which being reasons a lot of people started playing the game for. My guild, that used to have 80/100 active members on weekdays just 2 weeks ago, now cant even manage to do large GQs anymore.
A dozen quit for KR and wont be coming back, another dozen quit for KR and might be coming back as soon as Awakenings are out, another 40 quit because it took them too long to add Sieges and Valencia, and all of them quit a bit over the removal of the EXP penalty. People arent done with BDO, they are done with DaumEU. And the vast majority will not be coming back. DaumEU simply is too retarded to prioritize stuff. Sieges should have been out pre Mediah, hell there wasnt even a reason to push Mediah the way they did. They delayed all the important content to add shit no one actually wanted. Fuck Kzarka, fuck Mediah, fuck field bosses, fuck Pirate Island. No one cares.

It doesnt really matter what it look like. The games selling point were Sieges. One of the games selling points were awakenings. They've delayed Sieges for more than 3 months, announced Valencia just to cancel it and still havent provided an ETA for Awakenings.
