Magic is viable, though.
You run around at SL50 one-shotting entire ganksquads because it doesn't matter if you only have 9 Vigor, they need at least 39 to have any chance of dealing with any one of your bullshit ranged nukes before they get to you.
You can even get away with using the Dark Sorceries with 0 faith investment because the pure Spell Buff from Court Sorceror is actually enough to make them strong, meaning it's the only time these garbage spells are worth it.
Even a hybrid SL80 build Magic still works decently enough and you get to use stuff like MLGS and Tinder and not die to a cough.
If you're talking about using magic at SL120 duels, then it's meaningless because Quality is the only meta there, unless you consider using Farron Straight Sword R1 and Farron Throwing Knife to be a good example of Sorcery's diverse, interesting playstyle (kek)

So when you are a Watchdog of Farron, why can't you invade yourself but you need to wait for auto-invasion? They could have made it so as long as you have the covenant item equipped you can only use the orb in the forest.
Or hell, they could have made it so auto-invasions stay and you can invade anywhere but as long as you are in the forest and use the orb you would invade as a Watchdog not, a regular invader.

It also has the best damage on backstabs and ripostes in the whole straight sword class. R2 is also good for parry baiting. And it also works good against parry spammers, because you can delay it. And you can make this r2 into a wife angle attack, if you flick your character during the end of the attack animation. Lothric Knight Sword is one of the best weapons in the entire game.

It is actually harder to parry with target shield, because it has more startup frames. With caestus you can more easily parry on reaction. And you will not be punished as easily for a failed caestus parry.

King of the Storm is a very simply programmed boss, his fight can be replicated with almost 100% accuracy.

>He will fly up and do the downards stabbing attack
>He will then follow up with the giant electric smash
>He will then do the forwards fire breathing attack
>If he isn't dead by now he will fly up and try for a lightning strike
If you at any point try and get up close and personal with his dragon dick this falls apart and he will do the downwards fire breathing.
