actually REAL career streamers (people with avg of 5,000+ viewers) don't need donations to make a living. they get more than enough on ad revenue throughout the year. think of it like this. the ad revenue from their 5k viewer stream + youtube pays the bills. the money from donations and subs is their disposable income.
if you try to become a career streamer with less than 5k average viewers you will need donations to break even. at that point you might as well just have an actual job and stream on the side.
