As another ripper this discussion is making me a bit sick.
I can completely understand why the anon wants to know if someone is ripping Holmes or not. Ripping a character, especially one with so many animations as Holmes would take a fuckton of time to do properly and you do not want multiple people do the same job for two main reasons:
1) It takes a LONG time to rip animations properly (several hours per one animation in some cases) and I can absolutely understand why someone would rather spend 5 hours asking on /vg/ than spend 2 weeks ripping a character.
2) You need to use the same source and settings for every animation, so if you try to do the same animation someone else did, chances are it will look different in terms of saturation/framerate/size/overall quality, and consistency is probably the most important thing.
So please stop with the whole "He said he'd do it, stop being autistic", we're literally creating custom content for you, there is no reason to be rude, we just want to split the work properly.

Personally, for me, Holmes is a priority. But he is a low priority.
In a perfect world I'd have Barok, Vortex, Iris, Darklaw, Espella, Benedict AND Susato done and usable before I'd work on Holmes.
That's really my whole spin on the situation right now. Otherwise, I have full confidence that Holmes-Ripper will produce SOMETHING but these rips take a long ass fucking time.

And I strongly disagree with this. Just because every other content contributor wants to put the cart before the horse does not mean it should be the acceptable norm. I want to focus on adding characters that are new before I worry about characters who 'need' revamps. I also understand other contributors are limited in what they know how to do or can do. I highly recommend Photoshop for this:
1. Find source media of whatever your rips may entail
2. Somehow download said source media
3. Using VLC or whatever anime viewing media application you prefer record short segments from source media into smaller digestable parts (certain emotes, preanims, talking loops)
3A. It's REALLY FUCKING IMPORTANT you record these smaller clips, too much bloat will run you higher risks of crashing PS
4. Open PS
5. Import Video Frames to Layers
6. Bring in your clips
7. Spend Hours/Days removing background from whatever anims/emote you need using your preferred method (BQ Ripper used Quick Select, I poly lasso everything for precision)
8. Export your finished product to GIF
9. Resize for AO
10. ????
11. PROFIT, you are not contributing content to AOV

Each clip is between 6 to 20 seconds (VLC has this weird thing where you have to buffer your out-going recording a few seconds before what you want) to ensure I have all the frames I need:

-Talking loop
-Potential preanims
-blink frames (optional honestly, no one gets too autistic about this)

Co def slot open in A3, time travel case.
Going to be trying out a 'Investigation' case in area 1.
Basically, think of it as a logic battle, but where the Detectives are tested instead of the Attorneys. They are given a loose case basis, and are told to explain what went down. Each detectives' telling of what happened is separate from one-another, and each detective can asspull a extra piece of evidence into the scene for their investigation.
After all the detectives went, then the prosicution and defence benches will talk between themselves, and figure out which detective was Debeste of them all.
All roles, aside from Judge, are open at the present time.

Sorry for the [[OOC salt]] near the conclusion of that case, it was just frustrating with all the asspulls and circular arguments and whatnot.
Every time I was about to use evidence to try to argue a point, it got interrupted, and then everyone seemed angry and impatient with the defense.
