Working with a team of NPCs brought back memories of WGS or RoTM, we got lore about familiar faces, and new ones, and it was both humorous and dark at the same time.

I've always considered my character a sort of freelancer that temporarily supports whichever god that gives them (me) free shit since that's the only way I can get it to make sense that your character seemingly doesn't mind helping out 'rival' gods. Of course there might be some dialogue choices here and there but in-canon I don't consider the WG a very devout person and at the end of the day you're not going to intentionally not do a quest simply because you don't want to help a certain god or their follower(s).
I heavily suspect that Zaros' popularity mainly is due to him being the first god that has given the player the most useful shit such as ancient magic, curses and more.
My personal headcanon isthat my character just tags along with Zaros since his side seems to be one of the more reliable ones. If given the opportunity to become a full-on god himself, my character would do so.

There wasn't really any way into his room other than teleportation, and most beings are bound to the pathways routed by the tower/other groups.
And there may well have been anti teleport spells and what have you around, but I doubt anyone would expect a statue to break open their inner sanctum.

I'm just glad that in the recent survey Jagex were made aware that people were interested in lengthier and darker quests. Following the discussion about Kindred Spirits I decided to reread two of the journals found in Sliske's lair

Maybe I was just distracted by wanting complete the quest, but this is actually some really cool shit. Loads of small clues and references that I missed during the quest and it really sets the darker tone that people said the quest had. I sure hope we get more like this in the future
