Another thing to keep in mind is that while it just looks like a super buff to trinity, its closer to reverting the nerfs to trinity in terms of attack speed/crit from the marksmen update when they tried to make it more appealing to ADCs.
prior to the nerf it had 30% attack speed with 10% crit, so we've basically tacked that 10% into attack speed.
obviously its a big boost from its nerfed state but not too much different from its pre-nerfed state.
no doubt once shitters pick irelia up it will equalize a bit more.

you get more damage off building arpen, it also makes your ult delete squishies and your rightclick damage is never too good so you're better off buffing your ult

her core and often only offensive items attack speed got literally halved for adcbabs and now we have it back and a bit extra and people are acting like we've never seen trinity with more than 15% attack speed.

Arpen is all shes building these days. According to xyz shes hitting irelia+ winrates on admittedly small sample sizes thus far into the patch. Its not just really good, its the adc I'd personally want on my team 9 times out of 10 right now. Shes a perfect mix between relatively fast scaling and no late game dropoff with one of the best adc ults available.

I agree its cdr is too much and should be taken to 10%, but unless we want to drop stats on a combine they have to take cdr off of sheen or stinger.
I could see it being taken off of stinger and adding 10% cdr onto nashors combine but it depends how they want to go.
not that cdr would be hard to get anyway, 20% on trinity just leaves irelia overcapped half the time because SV is core against any mr and FH is so good as well.

the difference effectively is slightly less MS than prenerf, and 10% more attack speed.
if botrk didn't get nerfed back then as well her build would probably have been like botrk into iceborn because trinity was severely lacking for how costly it was (hence why she jumped on the rageblade train even after like 1 or 2 cost nerfs, because it was just cheaper and gave better uses than nerfed trinity)

well, for starters she offers a really good lanephase and a very gamechanging ult on a low cooldown. she has good performance indicators across all elos, and is becoming more popular in high elo as people realize ghostblade + cleaver is a good core on her
she is not particularly good, doesn't stand up to the top tier, but she's very far from being instaloss. vayne or tristana fit the instaloss much better than her.
