Deathfire is the safest option because it has really good AD ratio and it's fairly easy to apply
Stormraider's is for the highspeed meme build (that's actually good once you get to the mid/late game)
Thunder Lord's is also an ok choice, it gives more burst early game but it's harder to apply later in the game.

You're insane. That was meant to be a joke. If Thresh turned while winding up his hook with his current hook speed he would be unplayable. Likewise if he did turn and his hook was as you describe he would be SSS tier 99% perma banned in every game.
He's fine as he is, just stay behind your support and minions and bully the enemy laner when his hook is on cooldown. Just respect his hook and don't play aggro unless your team engages otherwise you will be hooked.
