Response to the Combo Breaker 2016 Incident
After reviewing the details from all parties we have come to a decision to release Noel Brown from the Ultra Arcade team, and ban Noel from competing in ALL Ultra Arcade Events, & ALL Killer Instinct World Cup Qualifiers (Including the Cup itself) for the duration of the KIWC 2017 Season.
We will re-evaluate Noel’s eligibility to attend our events in the 2018 season.
Ultra Arcade and KI World Cup have a Zero Tolerance for Sexual Harassment and we do not condone any acts of harassment. Warranted or Unwarranted that type of behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
We would like to thank Richard Thiher(Head of Combo Breaker) for helping us get to the bottom of everything and getting everything resolved in a timely matter.

Games like KoF were completely fucking dead during the dark ages, like 14 man side tournaments at Evo dead, SF3 wasn't even played seriously until years after it's release, and people had to travel to get any real competition. Why in the fuck would you want this? I'm honestly curious to why in the fuck you think the dark ages is a good idea if you live in the west.

Of course you can still react to shit, I am just glad that a very well known player was one of the first to start speaking up about it. If the 8f were intentional then there would be no problem, that is the game. However its clear that it was not intentional and 8 frames of lag is substantially higher than most games even if its only 2.3 more than SF4. The original PS4 version of Ultra had 8f of lag and it was only until they brought the input lag down to the same level as the 360 version that it became tournament standard. It was a bigger deal in that game because of the much more demanding execution, however it is still a problem in SFV.

When that game came out in the arcade, I begged my parents to go there every day to play. I was fucking obsessed. Action figures, you name it. That was when I was about 5 or so back when the game first came into arcades. As I grew older I forgot about it. But I just remembered how much I loved it and am now wondering why I never had it for or played it on a console. And being an "adult" with a disposable income, I fucking want it.

DoA DLC is mostly cosmetic, the only non is the new character Naotori Ii from Samurai Warriors, honestly she's not really worth it to play as especially if you just got the game.
If you have last round and not Core Fighters though you can safely ignore pretty much every other character DLC since it's just a way for them to gouge out F2P players.
The DLC on sale right now is the DLC from Ultimate a lot of costumes but if you haven't really spent a lot of time with it, at least enough to get a favorite character I'd recommend either not getting it or getting the the most expensive once since it has the most costumes. That'll get you set till you start to see costumes you like.

Sprite size, for one. The PS1 and Saturn versions are the only ones that have the arcade sprites.
In my expierence with SNES and Genesis ports, the sprites are messed up, they are missing animation frames, hit/hurt boxes are wonky. All of this more-so on the Genesis. The stages will also be shittier and you wont have any of the finishers or cinematic intros.
The Sega 32x version would also be an improvment over the normal Genesis version, and should be a bit better than the SNES version, but will still be missing moves and have censored content.

i think only guard break just frames put you at any sort of risk but things like vanessa k > p+g only works on CH so you do it everytime. If you hit and its CH on the kick you get the grab, if you hit and its normal hit theres no follow up animation for failing the just frame. Numerous characters can do this. On paper it makes sense, in practice it makes no sense. Her outfit is not practical for either purpose, it is simultaneously both and neither a schoolgirl outfit and a ninja outfit. By trying to shoehorn both motifs into her design it weakens the strengths of both designs and becomes less focused. It LOOKS like a jumbled mess of crap. most just frames in virtua fighter 5 are built in option selects. if you do a move with a just frame follow up then the move will only come out on hit/proper timing. To me it seems like Capcom is pushing that idea on them. You can see it really doesn't fit, most "esports" events end up being awkward as hell while "community" events seem to be the most well-received.
