I think adding the Agape ring to DS3 was a mistake.
They should have left soul memory alone as ti was, and just made it so the Arena's had SL matchmaking.
That way the dedicated PvPers could still have their balanced PvP, and the PvEers could completely ignore all notions of a meta and just play the game however they wanted while still having active co-op.

The shattered Lordvessel underneath Majula is actually something I hadn't seen before. Of course, the question then becomes - is that proof Vendrick looted shit from Lordran, or is it there because Drangleic *is* Lordran (DaS3 lore aside). Because if he looted it from Lordran, then sure, it makes sense that the Great Souls were brought along with it (except for Gwyns, which never found its way into the Lordvessel (unless you believe the Old King Soul is actually the Four King's)), but why would raiders bring along handfuls of random ash, two scorpion people and a bunch of Abyss fuckers (only to then transplant them into another Abyss in Lordran?) - and then forget the Lordvessel in the basement of a manor in a random village?

The PVP in DaS2 is balanced for high SL's and SM pushes you there.
Also the common player pool that results delays the game becoming a ghost town like it happened in DeS, DaS1 and BB.
For DaS2 you don't have to read guides to get PVP, it happens naturally thanks to SM.

I'd make a fully chalice gemmed build and go the whole 9 yards to get the best caryll runes the build demanded and everything...But once that happened, I lost my motivation to play. Co-oping the same 2-3 zones over and over is garbage. When are we gonna be allowed to just choose to have our level scaled in order to find co-op? What if I want to go to Road of Sacrifices on my SL80? The game should just scale me to around what an SL30 would have and make my shit +3 or something. Passwords already allow this. Except Aldrich isn't even good. The whole thing is hard only because you have to burn your entire stamina bar to get to him when he ports/avoid his hail of arrows (making him immune to his own arrows was a massive missed opportunity). Most extended weapon arts can't even really hit him as, by the time you're in a position to use them efficiently, he's already gone. It's really easy to see how Aldrich could have been good, but laziness and shortcuts spoiled what would have otherwise been a fantastic fight.

Pro tip, never be out of melee range for the aldrich fight.
It's a fight of range based movesets.
Up close he will only use melee, so when he disappears into the ground, make sure you go back to the centre to get ready for his next appearance.
I thought the fight was mechanically very unique feeling, and not in a negative way, it required the player to adapt to a moveset that wasn't in line with normal expectations, it's kind of like the dancer's anti gravity feeling

There was already a mechanic in the game that punished players for fucking up. It was integral to the series and is still in it today. Having another one that PERMANENTLY fucks your character up until you get to higher sm levels where everyone is the same is fucking dumb.
Dark Souls 3 did it right and basically gave people what they wanted for the SM fix in 2: souls spent on weapon upgrades and soul level.

There's a hollow infusion that gives weapons luck scaling for very little tradeoff. Virtually any weapon can technically be good on a luck build thanks to the infusion, since the luck scaling it provides isn't dependent on pre-existing scaling like sharp, heavy or refined. Weapons with innate bleed are obviously good candidates, as well. Most bleed weapons will gain at least 1 point of bleed just from being hollow-infused, and usually gain about 4-6 points from your luck, and the hollow infusion will make them comparably strong to non-bleed weapons.
Dex goes well with luck because no weapon loses dex scaling from the hollow infusion, and many actually gain a bit of dex scaling from it. Also, most naturally good candidates for the hollow infusion already have C or higher dex scaling, so it can be a good source of extra damage. Remember that by holding two fully upgraded hollow weapons, you gain 10 free luck levels

In my experience, a second red in a 4v1 ganksquad is more of a hindrance than a help. They usually have no idea what they're doing and swing wildly into a group, forcing me to run around them and miss chances to attack or, worse yet, blindsiding me from offscreen and setting me up for a 4p infinite stunlock. Unless they show some level of competence right away, I just off them when I need an extra flask and retreat into the level for some proper anti-gank strategies.
For those having trouble with any boss, here is the official primal strategy:
1.Roll under/through attack.
2.Hit once.
3.Repeat steps 1-2 until boss reaches half hp
4.At half hp, boss gets more aggressive and gains a dicksneeze instagib grab/spell, see step 1 for strategies to avoid this.
5.Repeat steps 1-3 as necessary.

It's like they just forgot about dark damage. One (1) weapon deal dark damage without infusion. Not only that, but GSoJ and Dancers' descriptions say they deal dark when they both deal magic.

The fact that it doesn't have it's own scaling properties just makes it feel like from didn't know what to do with it and just made it Chaos with a different paint job. Like, all other infusions fill some sort of niche that fit certain builds. Even with Lightning and Blessed, the latter also does a neato thing in addition to adding faith scaling, however useless the hp regen actually is.
But Dark just doesn't stand out since it's effectively the same as Chaos. It may give you more options in terms of damage types but nothing is weak to dark so why bother.

Quickstep has counterframes for its entire duration, though 90% of that is covered by its iframes.
If you "hear" the counter sound when you hit someone during quickstep, you either caught their vulnerable recovery, hit them when they had no fp (and thus it had no iframes) or hit them before they quickstepped on your own client, but during their iframes on their client (so you got the hit sound but no damage)
