Sign builds make fighting anything susceptible to burning incredibly trivial. Stamina regeneration is high enough it can be continuously cast to stunlock enemies, even more with the 3 griffon set bonus.
It can definitely be powerful, but it's not especially enjoyable.

Also, there's a few new normal enemies that are absolutely fucking great. Archespores and Scolopendromorphs are just fantastic to fight, and initially extremely difficult as well.

Speaking of the Unseen Elder. You can meet with him even if you get the good ending. You just have to first clear the entire quest before freeing Henrietta's sister, then do the orphanage quest, and just before deciding with Regis, decide to go and save the sister.
Then, after the main quest finishes, you can open the cave where the Elder is without Regis.

It has a lot of cards that combo well together but no card draw to make use of them and you just have to pray that you don't get shit RNG and multiple skirmisher units in the same hand or Cerys and one or more Shieldmaidens. I found it to be pretty frustrating to play and had to be bailed out by the faction mechanic on the third round every game.

Both of these are gameplay related. A human player can only react so fast, and implementing a playable system to simulate faster reaction is hard (though it would be nice). As for the healing, players do not feel like dying the moment they make a mistake and/or then spend time dragging themselves to a healer like book geralt does.
Overall, I think book geralt would have far less problems with common people (bandits and such) but a lot more problems against monsters and maybe a few very skilled and well equipped men (knights, soldiers etc.) Also, most mages would incinerate him from a distance.
