Well, China split up, but I'll probably mod it so that they are all still under the Empire, but just in lots of different states so that Europe doesn't go absolutely mental. I'll probably try and just keep up with how much the rest of Europe does in China, but mostly it'll be for resources if I go into Asia I'm thinking.

I'm going to start Vicky with my colonies independent but allied - I've been tariff'ing them very little, and I've been running the policy in-game of Benign Neglect, so I see it as the colonies just drifting off into autonomous states rather than epic wars of independence.
Johan's fucked with the game again, usually colonies would gain independence pretty quickly (pre-1750), but only one has won their independence this game.

Secondly, the new way of assigning generals is shit. Bring back the OOB! HOI4 can't be both simple and complicated, it has to be one or the other - and it can't be simple by design since it's a game about WW2.
Thirdly, night and day cycle looks awful. It has to be turned off. I await a mod which turns this off.
In fact, I await a mod like HPP or Black Ice which makes the game more deep and less shallow.

OOBs aren't hard to understand, it's a simple tree systems. The problem is that there's little to no reason to have the player work their way through OOBs
The current system as implemented in HoI4 is simple and yet conveys everything the old OOB system did. The old system had a ton of flaws :

>You start with shitty OOBs and have to spend forever to set up something about half proper, and if not an expert have to reshuffle shit multiple times to accommodate new production

You're the penultimate leader of the country, not the entire leadership. You tell your units "I want to establish a beachhead here" or "I want to push up to this river", you don't personally radio in every single division on a 50 units front and organize all the general staffing and OOB management

So I tried to install the DLC for EU4 through the Crack that's available on MEGA.
