So I tried to install the DLC for EU4 through the Crack that's available on MEGA.
>> check if the DLC is activated then exit the game and copy over the original files from the Original Files folder and replace the cracked steam_api.dll with the original one.
The DLC was activated - then when I replaced the steam_api.dll with the original one it disappeared in the Game menu (however the files were still in place).
With the other steam_api.dll I can launch the game fine, however it behaves very oddly at times.

For some odd reason, granting the County of Finnmark to one of my subjects turned the place into ''Grand City of Finnmark'', I have absolutely no idea why this is, but now the vassal had the negative opinion thing called ''Wrong government type'', so I thought maybe that's a one time thing and had him killed, but his heir also has the ''wrong government type'' negative opinion modifier.
I don't understand why this is, I did nothing while conquering the County of Finnmark differently as I did when conquering other places, so why is this placed called ''Grand city'', when it has only one holding which is a castle like I have everywhere else, and why is it ''wrong government type''? I don't get it.

On June 16, 1934, after months of intense fighting, the capital of the Heavenly Kingdom, Tianjing, is finally captured by Beiyang China. Weeks of intense street-by-street fighting has left the city a wreck, and the Imperial Palace is little more than a smouldering ruin after the constant gunfire and artillery barrages the Chinese have fired upon it.
The current Hong ruling the Heavenly Kingdom has been forced to abdicate and had all his wealth seized by the Beiyang Chinese, but he has not been executed. During the long rule of the Heavenly Kings, they moved many within China to convert to a sort of syncretic Protestantism, wherein the Hong dynasty was seen as blood relations to Jesus Christ. Over one-fourth of the Chinese people publicly profess to follow this creed, and, although the Chinese warlord states are pushing hard for a return to normalized Confucianism, the Beiyang clique, at least, is all-too-aware that killing the Emperor, a relative of Christ, would only lead to a rebellion for the restoration of his position.
Instead, China enters into a period much like Japan did during the Shogunate; now defeated, the ex-Emperor is removed to the Beiyang capital at Peking, for "safekeeping," and to "oversee the maintenance of the Christian people of China" from the safety of the "capital of China herself." What this really means, of course, is that the Hong dynasty has become a puppet of the Beiyang clique, to be used to legitimize their conquests and pacify their peoples.

In late 1934, the Congolese government in Kananga undergoes the same "growing pains" that the government in Namibia did. Having previously been a British colony and still being presided over primarily by Britons, these Germanics do not wish to subject themselves in any means to the Party's control. Prior to the Purge, which eliminated five million traitors to the French state, the Party had been relatively lax in its position on the Congo, as it saw it as little more than a "German-infested jungle" which would take too much effort to liquidate. Now, however, Napoleon V has made it clear that he desires total control over any Germanics in his colonies, and so orders the imposition of total Party control in the state.
Predictably, the British living in the Congo are not impressed with this proposal. Unlike the Namibians they cannot consider a reunion with their previous overlords, landlocked and interior as they are, but they nevertheless seize the capitol in Kananga and proclaim a "Republic of the Congo" contrary to Napoleon V's Empire of the Congo.
Napoleon V is not all that impressed with the show--he simply orders his colonial garrisons, already in position on the border, to invade and put down the British rebels.

I agree with most things you said about CK2 and the OOB.
But there's something that's autistically satisfying about seeing my nice neat OOB. Maybe someone will mod in a new OOB system into HoI4. I don't like the general/field mashall system that much.

I'm excited about it and think it'll be good, more simplified, but good. And considering this general primarily plays Vicky 2, EUIV and CK2, I don't think they have the authority to complain much about simplicity.
If I saw everyone in this genral playing HoI3 all the time, then I'd understand the complaints more.

Another devastating war in China, now between the mighty Nationalists in the south and the powerful Beiyang clique on the eastern coast.
In spite of the occupation of both nations, it is clear that the Beiyang clique is weaker, and they have lost many more battles than the Nationalists. Their long war with the Heavenly King has left them drained, whilst the Nationalists were able to expand. The Beiyang also chose to move their capital to Anqing after the defeat of the Heavenly King, and the administrative confusion is only doubling their problems, especially as armies loyal to the leader of the Nationalists, Chiang Kai-Shek, have captured Anqing.
It appears as though the Nationalists will come out as the winners of the unification war, unless the Beiyang can somehow rally and re-take their capital.

He cites his government's popularity and strength and the elimination of thousands of Communist guerillas in the countryside as evidence that his regime, unlike his father's does not require further support.
Although Napoleon V is hesitant to abandon any control he has over a nation, Pedro IV is a relative, and Joseph is well-aware that enforcing a more Fascistic style of rule on Brazil, which the Party has been pushing for some time, is infeasible. Reluctantly, Joseph permits Pedro IV to go through with the amendment, and Brazil is freed from French influence after nearly three decades of control.

I know it's hard anon, I don't really want it to end either. But as much fun as I've been having, continuing to write walls of text every update has become seriously taxing, and if I'm ever to convert this as a mod to DH, I don't want to extend beyond the end date so I can try to get technology right ('cause more nations won't have 100% tech if I don't extend the end date, and I can more realistically apply their current tech levels).
We also had a poll on this, and anons chose to have me increase my infamy beyond the limit to see if we could have a containment war rather than extending the end date. While that doesn't prevent me from extending it, I did already choose my end-game gimmick, and I really don't feel like doing another for no real reason.

The unification of Scandinavia, the dismantlement of the Russian, German, Austro-Hungarian, and British states, and the fall of the Qing, then the Taiping, and the onset of the Warlord Era are other noteworthy events of the "Napoleonic Age."No, I'm not done yet.

I don't really know about what factions I would do, that's one thing that I've been considering. There are Communists, but aside from the Don-Kuban Union, they're literally all shitholes in South America, usually low-pop inland ones as well (Paraguay, Bolivia).
Considering I would port to DH and alliance systems there aren't quite so rigid as in HoI3, I was thinking I could do the main three factions as Germanic Sphere (which really amounts to anti-Latin), Latin Sphere, and Greater East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere as the three main factions, with the limited number of powerful republics/constitutional monarchies in an alliance on their own and the communists in an alliance on their own.

Really it's both a matter of making good content and replying to the content that's being made, to encourage it to keep coming.

Yeah, just keep 6 or 7 ICs being built until mid-1938, that should take up almost all of your production. I also conquered Yugoslavia early so I have a bit more IC as well from there. Don't worry too much about building new troops until late 1938, as you get a bunch from event. As for upgrades, you really just can't upgrade all of your troops, you have way to many, so just prioritize the divisions on your most important fronts.

If you don't try you're never going to see if you would succeed, and you might surprise yourself. In my experience, when you write a really good AAR, even if it takes you a long time, the narrative that you're weaving helps keep you interested in the game and also helps your creativity as you go.

Memes aside, I'm pretty fucking glad the Allies, including the US, won and occupied most of Germany.
