its all about tank 'n spank nowadays. you can still beat alot of stuff but newer dungeons have bosses that cant be one shot and be able to tank and heal back from attacks and preemps. shields help but sometimes you need more hp or back to back preemps. a couple of dragon callers have easy active high attack ls with making crosses with hearts for a 75% shield with dual leads and even more attack.

ROdin's active is being buffed and he'll become a legit leader but in your case even with the current leader skill he is a good option.

You can't actually choose to make a prong, a row or not 80% of the times with such team. You will almost always have too much orbs and spend your puzzling time arranging the separation of green combos + heart shield than actually making the prongs.
Perseus also can sometimes unbind with row.
