years and years ago they removed two skills, divine intervention and eyes of the beast. at the time they cited those skills being confusing and unnecessary, about 5 years later they said it was because they were being used in raid encounters for exploits. this implies it was much easier to remove them than to test for any weird eyes of the beast pulling bullshit on every boss.
they cited the exact same reason for removing spell reflect and dark simulacrum come legion, because they didn't test hfc properly and people were using dark simulacrum to cheese xhul.
"class fantasy" buzzphrase is them admitting they're going to remove all variables from pve forever, but give you cool animations and talents to make up for it.
