Even if you're bored, is there a part of the game you enjoy? For example, i had a friend who wouldn't play anything else but I really enjoyed "virtually hanging out" with him since we lived far from each other, and since we both were into pvp (and i was bored with basically everything else) we had a night or two a week that was just pushing rating and had a lot of fun.
Sure it's lol2s but between that and the sub it seemed like a small price for chilling with a buddy, even if he is such a super wow fag.
Of course the obvious answer is just "do what you want". if you really can't stomach more WoW and being forced to play doesn't sound like fun, it's likely time for a break -- even if that means losing contact with your buddy. If you burn yourself out even more it could lead to resentment and shit.
