Literally what was the balance team thinking when they had to work with Hanzo and Widowmaker? In what world is Hanzo ever supposed to even compete with her, let alone being better?
She can fire faster, she does more damage per shot, her weapon is hitscan and doesn't need to account for projectile falloff or travel time, she has an easier time at close range, she's more mobile, and her ult is one of the best in the game and doesn't require ridiculous set ups in order to do something.
Even the competitive players feel the same way. Honestly, what is the point?

You're completely ignoring the rest of Hanzo's kit
his sonic arrows is a mini widow ultimate, his scatter thing can kill people hiding behind corners, and his ult is a huge area denial tool.
But yeah the problem is Widow being widely superior as long as you can aim, not Hanzo being total shit. I agree on the Hanzo part not having an escape while widow can fly away and deal good damage in close range, this fucks Hanzo a lot depending on map.
Problem is Hanzo already is scary in some situations, if they buff him he could probably eliminate whole teams by himself just like Widow right now, so I'm hoping they sort of even the two out rather than just make the game unfun for all the non snipers or counter snipers.

I feel like this game will never have a map that everyone has fond memories of like cp_dustpowl or pl_upward.
There is quite a bit of wasted space on these maps if you go around and explore. Hanamura, for example, has this random area in the garden area that just dead ends at a health pack, but it's so far off the beaten path that you'd never use it over the one in that center building.
Community-created maps would do wonders for this game, but know Blizzard it'll NEVER happen.

D.Va is my favorite character to play and I have the most time with her but I feel like I'm really ineffective and I get far fewer kills than when I play as other characters like Bastion or even Zenyatta
Like with those two I get a lot more action and I feel like even if I'm not getting a lot of kills I feel that I'm at least contributing. With D.Va I burn through a lot of mechs with ults and everything and I can occasionally go on big rampages but by and large it just feels like I'm kind of just jetting around not doing much.
Anyone else feel like this? I know getting kills isn't always the way to help but I'm just disappointed because I wish I could be more effective

You don't really need to worry about being sneaky etc being everyone is lit up like crazy in this game anyways. Winston is going to all of sudden blend into the background if you had say 1k dark scuba skin.

It's in group situations where D.Va feels super weak which just feels weird for a Tank hero. And it feels like either I don't know the maps well enough or people just tend to clump up around the objective so flanking and harassing doesn't work as well either.

She takes a lot more effort to 1v1 effectively than any other 1v1 based hero, and most heroes who are in the flank or are widowmaker can juke her for a long enough time to get some help.
She's an awful group tank outside of being the best at absorbing ults. You can place your defense matrix on reaper and eat his full 360 range and that works out well, you can sac mech for junkrat ult and hope he just dets it on you, you can block all of pharah's, most of 76 and most of bastion's without dying and that works out well.
For groups you just don't engage, and shoot at them from a distance not to do damage, but to build your ult. Engage with your team, and use the fight to get around behind and look for their widow/hanzo/etc.

Anybody else have a love/hate relationship with this game? Even in matches where I do well, I find myself getting really frustrated at little things after an hour or so. I usually que up with 2 friends and those matches are way better, but solo play is like try to win a baseball game, and half your team just got out of t-ball practice.
I want to help the team win by picking the right character in the right situation, but I really dislike support roles. I'll play it if me switching to a lucio/mercy will win us the game, but it's frustrating being forced to pick a support because everybody wants to be solider, genji, or widow because LOL POTG.
