Then during the breach you push in and crush the now hollowed defensive line. You gradually barricade and build your position inside, crushing the opposition and sweeping them off the hill as you capture. And then by the time they finally organize a counter-offensive, you have spawn points everywhere and you're in control. Attain the high ground, eliminate air presence, and barricade the center so you cant have the same thing done to you.

Hey guys. Nice to see you all again, nice to be around again. Just recently got a new PC and now I'm able to get back in and enjoy the action here. The game's deadening, and my outfit's defunct, but there's still some good moments, cool people, fun times.
Anyway, everything's splendid but there's one issue that I've been having and have had a bit of in the past, even a year or so ago with my other PC. However the game might run, which right now is perfectly fine, it runs significantly worse when first starting up, or even after that, when going to a new area or something. For instance, if I wanted to go fly a Gal and do a drop I'd have to forget about it because I'm looking at massive seconds-long lag spikes right around the moment when I should be positioning for a drop. It sucks. It clearly has something to do with loading things into memory for the first time, but I'm not exactly sure what the issue is. Turning down any in-game setting has not helped in any significant amount. Does anyone know of a possible solution for this?

Some people get introduced to hitching with the last update (not me) so there's really nothing you can do if turning setting down isn't helping you. Turn everthing to low and then try it out, if the same shit is still happening with everything low then there's not much you can do except wait for the next patch.

I'm no ESF pilto, but my general understanding is that your prior experiences mean nothing. They're vtol's, and the entire meta around dogfighting is based on a bug(?) that let you fly backwards, that's now acknowledged as fine. You need to get the hang of hovering basically. That's most important. Don't treat them like jets, they aren't.
If you want an easier time as a pilot in general, learn to pilot a battle-gal - they're quite easy to get the hang of, and fun when you squish lightnings. After that, a lib isn't nearly as daunting to get a hold of, and you can truly become a farmer - plus it's your gunner farming in that, so aiming isn't an issue.

You can still be decent if you make good use of positioning. Positioning is more important for kills than reflex.
And male reaction speed/dexterity plateaus ~25 until you start getting to about 60+ years old where it drops off further. So the teenage whippersnappers might have you beat on pure reflex, but it's not by a crazy amount.
