Why is the last point such a disgusting chokepoint? It's so fucking easy to defend, it's unreal. We were completing destroying an enemy team until that part where they just get Torbjorns and cozy in to their faggot chokepoint.

They never take advantage of my Support. A Mercy and Lucio are the backbone of every time and used ~80% of the time and Lucio is used 100% of the time. (Competitive)
No matter what i try to tell them, they answer "lol i bought the game i play what i want hehe"

There are no side routes to the spot where Torb and Bastion camp in the last portion of King's Row. I can keep repeating "flanking means coming around the side" but you will never understand that because you seem obsessed with being right even though it makes you hella dumb.
On Route 66 you can get to the defender's right side by going up the stairs covered by boxes on the attacker's left side. That is flanking. Running straight into someone's face isn't flanking.

Why is Mercy weak against Bastion? She can often use her gun to shoot a turret-mode Bastion out of his line of sight.
Soldier shits on Bastion too for the same reason. You just stay out of line of sight and shoot his massive hitbox and quickly peek with a rocket to finish them off.
I'd also argue Zenyatta is neutral/weak with D.Va. D.Va will obviously melt with an orb of discord if his team mates are in his vicinity and aware of D.Va, but if that's not the case you can just dash into him with defense matrix up and kill him in a fraction of a second due to his lol150hp.

The best way to play Genji that I've noticed is use him to hit from a bit of range, the dash should be used as escape or need to confuse enemy. Also pick off supports and squishies, he is highly mobile so double jump and wall climb to flank. Don't forget he has an alt fire that is a cone instead of line.

Dash does 50 damage. Each square of enemy health represents 25 health. Only dash at them if they have two squares or less of health. Get good at aiming while jumping off walls and shit. Make sure you are actually AIMING your deflects.

well you can dash to a 150-200hp hero and then just finish them off on the spot when you are next to them
the standard sort of pattern is you first throw one set of m1 from a distance to soften the target a little, then you dash to the them dealing damage with that, now you are on their face so you can use m2 instead to attack more rapidly so you maybe use m2 1-2 times and then finish off with a melee attack
then you dash elswhere as your dash just got reset from the kill
that paragraph actually takes like 2 seconds in game time

Which is why you can have a godlike player stuck with literal mouthbreather shitters that aim with their keyboard vs a team of mediocre, but competent players.
And it's also why it's so infuriating, and to add insult to injury you just don't know whether you're counted as one of the shitters or you're supposed to carry the game, because everyone will just die against a team with semblance of coordination when his own team is busy trying to snipe from the spawn on attack.

There was a hl2 mp mod "dystopia" - it had somewhat similar classes and weapons, like automatic rifles and single shot rifles, projectile bolt rifles, shotguns, or grenade launchers or katanas but none of that shit could kill the player in less than a second except for a charged up headshot from laser sniper rifle that took 3 seconds to charge and didn't allow you to keep it charged all the time. There were "maphacks" and all the shit but every death felt meaningfull and every kill was deserved. Whenever nobody is taking damage or actually shooting at the enemy, when people ignore snipers and I have to take them out and when I have to go kill a Bastion or a Torb's turret, or when I get harassed by a Tracer.
So generally ALL THE TIME thanks to my wonderful teams.
I don't even get to damage boosto people because they prefer getting hit than hitting the enemies, so I either heal them or they die.
In super rare occassions I get that competent Junkrat or Soldier or Pharah or even Streetpig and I can actually damage boost someone.
But usually I have to shoot high value targets and deal with flankers myself.

Last night my team got demolished by the defense team in Temple of Anubis.
The enemy team had Widowmaker, Bastion, Tracer, Reaper, Symmetra and D.Va, something like that.
I'm was using Pharah, i would always kill the enemy Widowmaker since she can one-shot me, but once i'm was on the ground i would get destroyed by the enemy Reaper and Tracer, so i couldn't position myself to kill the Bastion.
What i could do to win the match? I honestly think it's my team fault, because i'm was doing my job killing the Widow, but it was their job to harass the offense heroes of the enemy team.

How do I use Genji effectively? I'm trying to flank people but I always get spotted en route and half their team ends up chasing me like a scooby doo episode. It'd be a good thing if my team could capitalise on me keeping 3 of the enemy occupied but they tend to lose even 5v3

You put her turrets in sneaky places that the enemy wont expect, and that they will run into when attempting to flank, or while they're running around distracted by fighting one of your team mates
Her turrets make amazing distraction and battle support tools
Don't put all her turrets in the same place
play her as a support, not a solo combat character
her beam is amazingly powerful and will outdamage winston 1v1 if need be
her right click is amazing for general suppression and choke point support, and dont forget you can fire smaller shots
don't forget to keep shields up on your team mates, especially if they die and respawn.
And most important of all, get your teleporter up as fast as possible, and put it somewhere smart.

Zen is ok at solo healing as long as they don't have a widow, or really good Tracers. Usually having a roadhog or something too as a tank to peel and protect for you works well with him.

Am I the only person who thinks reaper is the hands down best learning character? His passive helps make up for the fact that you don't know where any of the healthups are, and you can go find them more easily with wraith form. Teleport obviously lets you learn "how the fuck do I get up there?" pretty well. I honestly think learning the maps and healthup locations is the first thing you need to learn if you can already point and click.
