I see.

GT pumps use mining pipes and can be at safe levels away from water
but the old system was strange in other ways. electric machines spontaneously start burning under rain, but never actually explode unless they have >= 1 EU in them

but the new system in GT6 should be pretty forgiving. they won't explode immediately; instead you'll get a bit of warning time with fake explosions in case you spill water all over your hot or electric stuff

I think it's a good change. it was one of those strange inconsitencies that didn't make sense

>>143697717
They're good enough, at least in my opinion. M&B's regular shields are pretty weak compared to dual wielding TiCon weapons, TD's shields fixes that.
The shields aren't completely broken like TiCon's crossbows, but they're still a reliable choice if you want to go sword and board. I personally enjoy switching between sword and shield and 2x sword from time to time.

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention, make sure you get the Tinkers' Defense 1.3, previous versions aren't even worth bothering with.
>>
>>143699174
I can only find V1.2.1 of Tinker's defense.

But my main idea was to play as a paladin-ish character. So I would be using the big hammer and combine it with a shield and then just mow down zombies and skeletons left and right.

>and if you happen to have TiCon you'll just get generic-looking TiCon tools/weapons and the unique sprites also go out the window, not to mention you'll be killing zombies and skeletons with the medieval hand-held equivalent of a nuclear warhead
Why do people install this again? In theory it already sounds poor, being a "moar ores" mod turned up to 11, but good fucking god the execution manages to be even worse.

The least they could've done is introduced alchemy too, to convert all these useless OC ores to useful ores.

Blightfall included the mod and TRIED to make it useful. It did this by letting you trade the shitty ores for other items so it was pretty much a huge waste.

Also if you have TE in the same pack along with TiCon, Shiny is literally better than every metal and alloy in Metallurgy, apart from a couple of super rare ones that are on par. Shit is useless.

Long-distance, yes. Short distance, not really. If you're working inside of 15 chunks, just use the pipes. There's too much track needed to fuck around with trains at such a short distance.

Now long-range hauling like we had with Trainserb's first oil operation is where trains really shine over pipes. At that point the trains are definitely easier to use and cheaper.

'Course you have to know what you're doing, somewhat. The first trains you're able to build won't be powerful enough to move more than 2 cars full of liquid at decent speeds, leaving you open to mob attacks if you ride in it.
>>
Anyone wanna play a pack together and chill? Got nothin' to play tonight
>>
>>143702568
Someone who plays with Metallurgy probably doesn't care about minmaxing through, otherwise they'd just stick with crossbows, which don't need any more mods to be overpowered.

And Shiny is also included in Metallurgy anyway, since it's just Platinum with another name because the TE devs are too anal about the metals' names, just like Ferrous is Nickel and Tinker's Alloy is Bronze.

>>
>>143721423
Best suggestion for you then is to play one of the kitchen sink packs, like Infinity. See what you like and what you don't like, then go from there.

Don't let assholes tell you what's fun and not fun, judge for yourself. If fun for you is building a cozy little cabin and living things as rustic as you can, then I'm confident that there's a pack for you. If you want to have access to everything at any time while still having a "survival" feel, you'll probably find mods for that. Magic? Tech? Nature? Go fucking nuts.

Everybody has probably played a modpack once in their time. If playing someone else's idea of "fun" is enjoyable to them, then by all means let them suck that cock.

In all seriousness, you tell someone to make their own modpack for their first experience and they'll get overwhelmed and shut down. Spoon-feeding an experience to them is the best way to get them hungry for something custom. Though the big packs are always good for servers since it's just easy to make sure everybody's on the same versions.

This isn't surprising at all when you consider how many of these devs unironically were on Steam's side during the paywalled mods Skyrim fiasco and how few of them were even alive during the old times where modding was a pastime driven by passion.
Truth is, we were doomed the second this pennypinching shit started working and became the norm, which forces these people to grow up in an environment surrounded by other pennypinchers, never being given a chance to know any better.

But then again you can't really blame them when Mojang increases their workload by requiring them to babysit their mod instead of finishing the vaporware that is the official modding API.

if you remove a mod from your pack and you still have blocks of that mod in your world you'll get a warning next time you load and if you click yes that mods blocks will be removed.

Why are touhou songs all the same?
They're all in 4/4 time. They all have a top melody with notes no more than 2 steps apart on the scale, no jumps. Using this melody, they follow an ABA* pattern with the "chorus" coming in regularly and then at the very end they loop back around so the songs can be looped seamlessly.
In the background, the harmony syncopates with 8th and 16th notes playing near constantly to make the song sound more active, with regular segments of 32nd notes. But the background notes never actually harmonize in a waveform sense, they're just there to provide a beat and sound fast.
>>
>>143762749
isn't touhou a bullet hell game or something?
maybe they all sound the same because they wanted a common sound for them in the game/s, were lazy when making the game music, or both
>>
>>143762959
Yes, they all have the same composer. It just triggers me when people listen so much to Touhou music when they all have similar chord structures, half of them are in C minor and the rest of what I said above. Like if you're going to listen to weeb shit at least branch out.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Curse operates on a "need to know" basis, leaving everyone who doesn't matter to their "grand scheme" in the dark, especially those who aren't under NDAs. It isn't the least bit surprising considering their shifty record.

You can generate dungeons in new areas only, yes, but I chose to refresh all existing dungeons since I updated the loot tables, and a few trap tables.

>RTG and Mariculture don't play nice
>have to disable top block replacement or some shit, meaning no limestone or rutile
>limestone can be chiseled from Chisel's own limestone so that's not an issue
>don't have access to Rutile
>using minetweaker, pull this recipe out of my ass

google the mod name, perhaps one of the million sites taht reup minecraft mods has it.
altough if you do that you have to deal with malware or outdated versions.
official sources: -curseforge
-bot.notenoughmods.com will refer you to the github/MCF thread/whatever the author uses

>magical crops can be automated large scale with a powered fart
no difference.
