Not exactly a spoiler maybe, since it's a feature described in the official site.You can watch all endings if you continue, but only if you reach 100% affection for each girl. This would mean only 1 run required. For plat you need 1 run per character, all through NG+.
There's a resurrection chapter that you can save/reload.
The requirements for true end is:
- all overlords 100% (the lovey-dovey meter).
- defeat chapter 5's mini boss.
- Elma must die during first fight.
- no resurrection of any overlords in chapter 9.
- 1.5 billion accumulated affection points.
- defeat Trillion in the final chapter.
Also note that for the full hot springs scene you need to have seen each characters' scene, then to do an NG+. All on the same save.

It used to have stick controls and only used the four face buttons on the right side, but then they delayed it for a year and changed it to what we have now. It is a non-traditional JRPG series. The first two games for the Gameboy they have different races that develop differently due to the fact there are no experience points or levels. So in the first game humans you have to buy potions for their stat ups, mutants have a natural stat up growth after battle and learn spells at random (will see more of this as the series moves on), and monsters have to consume other monster meat to transform into other monsters. Robots were added in SaGa 2 in which they gain stats when you equip items to them.
Then the Romancing SaGa trilogy did away with the races and made the game open world. You could often times gain access to most of the world in almost an hour, there are many quests you can choose from, and so on. It also uses natural growth mechanics so the more you use something the better you will become at it, with Romancing SaGa 2 initially introducing "Sparking". Sparking is learning a skill in the middle of battle which is the main way characters learn physical attacks.
Then there is SaGa Frontier 1 which is a fusion of the Gameboy games with races and Romancing SaGa which is more open world. Then SaGa Frontier 2 which is very story heavy and more linear than some of its counter parts.
If you like JRPG's and want something different I highly suggest the SaGa series.

The first three SaGa games came out for the Gameboy in the early 90's and the west never saw a SaGa game again until SaGa Frontier on the Playstation. This skipped the entire Romancing SaGa trilogy for the SNES. It wasn't until 2005 with the Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song remake for the PS2 in which the west actually got to play a Romancing SaGa game, but emphasis on the remake part because many mechanics made it into the game that didn't exist until later installments.
So now you have at least one Romancing SaGa game in English. Then for Romancing SaGa 3 there is a fan translation for it, though the quality of the translation is dubious. Romancing SaGa 2 getting an English translation would mean you can play the entire trilogy in English and there is at least some interest in bringing the SaGa games to the west still thus there is a hope that SaGa Scarlet Grace can make its leap over.
I also hear often that Romancing SaGa 2 is a fan favorite in Japan when it comes to the SaGa series. Personally I love the first Romancing SaGa remake, and it is easily my favorite JRPG. No other JRPG had me at the edge of my seat like it did during certain boss battles or made me actually feel accomplished in completing quests while I was wandering around not knowing what to do to complete certain quests.
