It's just a straight up, uncomplicated, all-around good weapon.
All the other weapons are some crazy half-gun half-whip shit that makes you do spins or something but Ludwig's is just a sword with good scaling and a good moveset.
The two-handed form can also stagger the shit out of any enemy as long as it's not a boss or the size of a house.

Amelia really hates fire. LHB sort of is easy mode, but I wouldn't call it Dark Sword tier. Its mainly seen as op since it has solid scaling and throwing a lot of str/skl into it makes it hit ridiculous numbers. Tbf though, almost anything can be made op with the right stats/gems. You won't get the ridiculous phantom range if you ever pvp'd with it that dark sword has either.

Nigger next time you're running for an end-game weapon early go 30 Vit before touching your offensive stat. Being able to tank some hits and doing less damage is worth far more than doing slightly more damage and dying like a bitch whenever the boss looks at you.

Before fighting Father Gascoigne you get enough echoes just from exploring to buy 60 or so vials, with those enemies drop you have about 100. And this is the baseline for most areas in the game. Enemies drop vials like candy and you can buy them dirt cheap. If you're having to farm for vials it's your fault for sucking.
Granted I agree it's a pretty poor system. But it's easily avoided by not being total shit.

The healing system is infinitely better in DS1/DS3. Bloodborne doesn't even know what it wants to be, it forces you to farm to get your health but in order to do that you have to go through a method that is flat out counter intuitive.
The whole "bro, Estus's are scrubby" argument is false as well when you can (in theory) keep running into Blood vials every minute or so as they get dropped whereas Estus's require actual strategic usage.
"Git Gud" doesn't apply here, the blood vials drop frequently enough that this shouldn't bother many people but the system they have in place (needing to go to Hunters Dream then back to your area) for those that DO need to farm (beginners) is just flat out terrible game design and artifical padding at its finest.

The game has many flaws. Needing to go back to HD to warp to a different area instead of being able to warp from Lamp A to Lamp B is a big flaw. Consumables not refilling upon completing an invasion or co-operation. The way non-vial/bullet consumable refilling works. Just to name three things.
Farming for vials isn't a problem, though, since enemies shit them out like you shit out excuses and you can buy them for practically nothing. The reason farming for them is so tedious is likely because they didn't think anyone would be so shit that they would need to in the first place.

The games a fucking joke so far, i'm already past that Amelia (who was the only boss to cause me to die so far). Cleric, Father, BSB and some other black "Beast" looking thing with some lightning move all went down on their first try for me.
The game is easily the easiest souls game, even easier than DS3. The issue is the shitty mechanic where I need to go all the way back to Hunters Dream just to reset an area and with those shitty console loading times, that grows irritating far too quickly.
Bloodborneshills are the worst, "git gud" will never be applicable to this game, it's literally "Spam R1 to win" on top of the laughable parry mechanic that rendered BSB and Father Gascoine obsolete the moment I tried it on them.

THe thing i'm noticing with Bloodborne is just how more narrative heavy it is (for a Souls game). In Dark Souls 3 I think I encountered a handful of NPCs that had something to say whereas Bloodborne is dripping with optional dialogue as well as content.

Talking to Eileen in the cathedral ward, she'll tell you about Henryk. You can then proceed down to where you fought Father Gascoine and he'll be standing there. Not long after you attack him, Eileen will join the fight (I'm not sure whether she will attack without you initiating the fight). I reccomend poison knives, it only takes two to poison him and with the poison damage it more or less guarantees Eileen will kill him and you don't have to worry about accidently hitting Eileen too much and causing her to go aggro on your ass.

No one needs help with mergo but every playthrough, after I kill a boss I will do two coop sessions for it to help people out. A lot of the time, it's someone who hasn't even tried the boss solo.
I just really like coop and it's nice when someone sends you a message thanking you for helping on a boss they've been struggling with. I've seen a lot of obviously totally new players this week.
