YOU LET THE THREAD DIE OVERNIGHT
Please tell me I didn't mess up the original post, first time doing this.
>>143567463
>OVERNIGHT
anon it's 1 pm here, we are just very low in traffic
I was walking with my dogsorry ;_;
Marry, Fuck, Reject
>>143568979
fuck off already
>>143569101
It's a simple question, I don't see the problem.
I still have a sporty floor and world map to give away.
>chow in my campsite twice in a row
He must really like my town
>>143568979
>Marry
Labelle
>Fuck
Sable
>Reject
Mable
Does anyone have any villager in boxes for me to snap up?
>Playing AC Gamecube for like 2 months
>Doing my best
> Snooty and Peanut leave like a week or two after joining the village , whatever
>Based Ocatavio just left
>Meanwhile Jeremiah has been announcing he's gonna leave for a month
Am I doing something wrong? I think they left when I didn't played for at least a day, but I'm not sure.
>>143575612
JEREMIAH WAS A BULLFROG
When I go in a town with 7 villagers while one is in the process of moving in, is it possible that I can still give my voided villager to that town?
>>143578208
Yes. If someone is in your void and you visit a town with 9 or less villagers, they will get your voided villager.
How do you enjoy this game off Iine and casuaIIy?
>>143581073
Don't force yourself to play it. Play it after you've done something stressful, when you wouldn't mind cute animal-people running up to you to talk.
>>143581073
By not becoming obsessed with having a perfect town with perfect villagers. Just let things happen.
>>143582201
I obsess over things like that.
perfect names, perfect villagers, perfect map layout, etc. because if you want a town that actually looks decent you have to put a lot of work into planning it and time traveling so you can get all of the right bush types and flowers and so on.
when you're first getting into the game, yeah you should chill and not stress over anything. but eventually you'll get bored with the look of the town and you'll have to do a shit ton of stuff, spending millions of bells redoing everything because you're not happy the first time you try to make it look nice and so on.
Katie is in my town if anyone can take her.
>>143587275
I'd like to.
3368-1572-9864
The only thing is, I'm currently taking an animal from someone else's "void" somehow? I don't know how that works, but I don't want to erase/prevent that thing from also movie in by adopting Katie. Do you know anything about that?
>>143587703
Katie's not a villager, anon. She's a special event NPC. When she appears in your town you can take her to another town and the next day she'll send you a present in the mail.
>>143587703
Katie's not a normal villager, she'll come with me on the train to your town, give me and item, and then she should appear in your town within a few days, at which time you can bring her with you to a new town to also receive an item. You don't adopt her. Also my void is clear so that shouldn't interfere with your void, I'm pretty sure.
>>143587703
Let me know when you've added me and opened your gate and I'll bring her over, thanks again.
thread died because some frogposter in the early morning made about 10 identical threads with frog pictures and no actual post. it bumped a few threads off the board.
Does anyone have any extra fruit I could have? Just started a new game and I only have apples.
>>143589493
At this point, frogposting should get you banned.
>>143595686
I can help you
>>143595749
Thanks! I'll add you now. Your town or mine?
>>143596060
Mine, because the fruit is still in the trees
>>143591984

>>143602287
finally!
no hard feelings though right?
Finally starting my new town. What kinds of things should I look for when picking a map/layout?
>>143603994
good river and building placement (plaza, town hall, recycling center). especially where the bridge is placed if you want a winding river.
>>143603994
Yeah, totes
>>143604636

>>143603023
You just noticed? Have you never tried selling trash to him before in all these years?
And yeah, it never gets less disturbing.
>>143605340
The last time I played the GameCube version a lot, I was too pure to notice it.
I still have a dynamic painting to give away to anyone who needs it for their museum.
>>143588792
I'm sorry, real life got in the way, but I'd be up to do it now if you wanted, if not, then thanks so much for the offer!
>>143605473
It's not exclusive to Population Growing.
>>143606272
Yeah, but after PG, I just threw it in the bin in town hall (in WW/CF), or sold it among other stuff (in NL).
>>143568979
Pretty much in that order.
Does anyone have any villager in boxes they want adopted?
>>143591984
>>143596276

>>143605232
Which gators?
Hello Everyone. I just got this game and I havent played an AC game since the gamecube. Just wanted to send out my FC and name to visit other towns.
>>143608269
Gayle and Del. In total I started with Gayle, Del, Francine, Peanut, and Tank. Good villagers make up for the shitty map options I got.
god i love this image
>>143608509
Thread's pretty dead right now.
>>143608742
Not a problem, just wanted to get my FC out there atm, just to see if I can visit people tomorrow. I already added everyone in this thread so far.
>>143598685
>FUCK I LOVED GAMECUBE AC
I'm kind of bummed, I really like this game, but I can't help but feel like I arrived after most people have moved on and stopped playing.
Hopefully I'll have more things to do once I can make city planning things and visit the island.
Anyone here wish there was a MMO-Ish type of animal crossing.
>>143608576
Del is best alligator. I especially love his mad scientist house
>>143591984
There is a follow up pic where the mayor is cleaning his face.
>>143609009
I think the community is still plenty alive.
I'm waiting for them to announce the NX + the next AC game (the actual next installment in the series, not that HHD or board game shit)
>tent
>basket o' butts
>watering can
>lantern
That's all the introductory stuff I can accomplish today right?
>>143609382
How would that even work?
>>143610038
Im my "Dream World" Like a Massive animal crossing city would be the centrak hub then there would be like 4-5 "suburbs" to the city where 20-30 anons live with like 15-20 animals. Alot more fun for events and tournaments. Could maybe get jobs in the city etc.
does anyone want to visit / be visited?
Uh oh
How do people add custom paths/roads and different colored stuff in their games?
For instance, I just saw a photoset on Tumblr of someone with a nice cobblestone path and cutesy bridge in their New Leaf game, and the grass looked like it was a lighter shade of greenI just bought the game for the first time, just got it the other day...
>>143616413
talk to the girl working at the sewing machine in the able sisters for ten days, doesnt have to be straight in a row
from there its simple enough
>>143616413
and for the different colored stuff:
for flowers, there are things called hybrids. try putting some flowers of different colors but the same species next to each other and water them for a few days
for furniture, sell 100,000 bells worth of stuff to the pink one in retail (i suggest getting a net and going to the island, wait about 10 or so days and then go from there for the island)
if you're talking about grass, then it changes with the season
and the bridges can be unlocked as public work projects, try talking to isabelle as mayor
>>143603023
He is a raccoon.
I know japan says he's a tanuki, but 'merica
will say he's a coon, so...
>>143616920
Well my Development Permit JUST hit 100% like, 15 mins ago, I don't know if that "It'll be done in one day++" is true, or if it'll be completed at midnight when the new day starts, idk how it works in this game but I can do projects now that my rating is 100% right?
>>143616413
you can design your own paths by editing the default patterns in the tab with a pencil in the bottom screen or you can use patterns from other people by scaning their qr codes using the sewing machine in the able sisters' store as >>143616565 mentioned. Those patterns can be displayed as roads, paintings, wallpapers, floors, clothes, hats and umbrellas.
>>143617173
He's a tanuki. His name is Tom Nook because it sounds like "tanuki".
>>143617662
I think, yeah
sorry, its been a long time since ive last played
also the new day starts at 6am every day, not midnight, strangely
>>143598685
Y'know, new leaf is so much better with headphones. You can actually hear the waves crashing against the beach if your house is near the beach, or the river, or the rain when it's raining, it's super comfy. A lot of nintendo game's music gets way improved by headphones, honestly, they need get a better sound card or whatever for their consoles.
>>143618561
One more thing, I've been playing long enough to get access to the island, I just got here for the first time this morning, and I've read about the bugs, and I'm catching some big ones right now, how long can they stay in the crab pot? Because ReTail is closed right now I believe but I don't have enough inventory space to keep them all
>>143619218
If you really need to, you could just dump the extras in your house. I don't know how long stuff stays in the basket at the dock.
>>143619218
>how long can they stay in the crab pot?
forever, but you can't put anything else inside if it's full
Fuck these easily startled bugs, man
Sometimes I can walk up to a Giant Stag and stick my dick in it's ear and it'll be like "sup"
Other times I get within 12 miles of it and see it on the tree on the very corner of my screen as I'm sneaking and it's like "fuck this im out" and flies off
>>143618491
I know. I said raccoons because they're similiar and they like going through trash cans.
>>143621030
Sneak up on them by holding down A and pushing slightly the circle pad
>>143626353
Delete this.
Does anyone have any villagers in boxes?
>>143626852
I don't get it. What's wrong with it aside from the size?
>>143627225
Everything.
>>143626852
I only want one jock but I have both Sly and Boone in my town. Deciding who to send away is rough.
>>143629719
Whichever one you choose to let go, make sure you find them a good home
Please keep the thread alive overnight, guys
>>143567284
The thread deserves to be alive!
ALIVE!!!
>>143636683
Don't worry, some frogposter will fuck us anyway
>>143638598
Gracie is in town. If I need to pass 4 checks and I have 4 characters, can I get them all in one go?
I need formal, simple and sporty clothes, if anybody can help. Thanks.
Simon is leaving next Thursday.
Hallo /acg/ I am bought Animal Friends for my Nintendogs. Sickly store clerk shiver with fear when I summon my [spoiler[hashbrowns[/spoiler] to get all the Animal Friends. Now I smash my Nintendogs and am anger. Instead buy new one and keep playing Animal Forest. I song of the fjalliĂ° guĂ° öflugur rĂĂ°a for my town themeritual sacrifice. Who can plant apples the fastest?
>>143618652
They always cheap out on speakers. There is an expectation that you will use headphones (especially since most Japs will on the train etc).
I hooked my DS up to my external speakers once for NL and it was great.
>>143609009
I felt that way with CF, because I didn't get into it until May 2010 because university and life kept me from ever getting to it. But then AC3DS *tentative title* was announced at E3 a few weeks after I finally got CF - and suddenly the online activity was booming again. I managed to put more than 800 hours into CF that summer, alone. A lot of that time was probably spent wandering other people's towns, while chatting over Wii Speak. I miss those times already, and I miss Wii Speak.
>>143642401
>>143643817
i find the N3DS (not sure about the 3DS, its bee na whlle) have excellent stereo sound. i set mine to stereo mode rather than surround. the sound quality on youtube is fantastic for instance
>>143644169
I probably overexagerrated as you are right, the N3DS speakers are actually fairly decent.
I prefer headphones regardless and I really don't blame Nintendo for cutting costs when it comes to sound as most people wouldn't give that much of a shit.
does anyone remember me from launch?
tripfag? most dedicated shitposter there was? prevalent member of the original skype group? obsessed with ankha?
i've been really nostalgic over the socializing that was done in this game's multiplayer. it's sad but it was the best couple months of my life. i had never really played multiplayer in any game before this so maybe i'd have more pleasant memories if i did. i should start.

Alright, tell me how is wild world good and not a totally empty and boring game besides "u can change ur hair and maek patterns"?
>>143662427
I-I just play it because it was my first AC game as a child...
>>143662825
>u can change ur hair and maek patterns
But that's in every game.
And simple does not make it bad if you're more into the lifesim aspect than the total control freak enabling from New Leaf. Wild World might not have as many features but it's still a fine AC game on its own.
>>143663215
Don't listen to them, they probably come from /v/ where you must unreasonably hate a game for petty reasons.
>>143663457
Most of the purists in /v/ don't like anything after ACGC. Some would even argue that NL is a botched attempt at recreating the ~magic~ of it.
>>143663985
>Some would even argue that NL is a botched attempt at recreating the ~magic~ of it.
NL is the farthest thing from the original, that's retarded.

>>143670463
Nooklings have a catalog machine thing where you can re-order most items you had in your inventory. I personally only use my storage for special items that can't be re-ordered.
>>143670482
Do turnip prices work like that? Where the prices are highest on wed/thur? I thought it was random
>>143670125

>>143670463
>>143670596
Just sell back all the things you don't want to keep. Cataloguing means you will be able to order it from the Nooklings shop at any time. Everything can be catalogued but some special items cannot be ordered
>>143670952
the catalog kiosk is in nook's store.
usually what i do is buy things just so they appear in the catalog, and then sell them back to retaill
>>143671079
If you want something someone's offering you should speak up, most people have been playing so long they have everything already
Newbie here. How do I become rich? I don't have the island yet

What would be considered a high turnip price?

It's *4-1. Not *3.
Remember 9.999 is the maximum price a villager is willing to pay for an item. Also the Bell Boom Town ordinance will change the selling price. That's NOT the default selling price, so multiplying that one by 4 will make it so no villager will ever buy anything, since it's too expensive.
So the reorder machine isn't in the Nooklings shop, does it show up after a certain amount of time? Or do I have to spend x amount of money to unlock it?

Damn, where does time go.
Hello just wondering if I could go to someones town? I asded alot of people yesterday but when I got to the train station there nothing in faraway town? Also how do I get houses in the HH showcase? Sry new to the game.
>>143677934
You unlock it after the shop upgrades
>>143678251
You get houses at the showcase through streetpass, if you would like to visit my town, you can get a fortune telling from Katrina
>>143670725
They tend to be the highest around Wednesday. Keep an eye out in this thread for anons with high prices, and ask them to go to their town to sell your turnips.
>>143678251
If you want to visit someone's town, you have to add each other as friends and they have to open their gate in the train station
>>143678862
Anyone have blue chairs for sale? I'm trying to get my feng shui working in animal crossing.
>>143678686
Cool omw!
>>143679038
OK, I see you've just added me so I'll open my gates, feel free to buy anything from the shops since I've got everything I need from the shops today. My internet is playing up however, so I'll save regularly just in case anything happens.
>>143679368
Sounds good man, be there in a few
>>143581353
This seems like a good way to play it.
>>143582201
Yeah why do people try and have a perfect town when someone can just move in and change everything about it with the house placement?
That seems like too much trouble, just going to let it happen and play around it. Isn't that the point?
>>143584348
Couldn't see that happening. You're just turning the game into a real job at that point andalready have two real jobs :(
How does approval for watering flowers work? Is it one point per flower per day, one point for watering all of them, or one point just for the first one of the day?
Anyone have a cabana bookcase I can buy?
>>143638998
>pass the check with one character
>switch to another character
>she's already gone
Welp, guess not.

>>143682941
Thnx again! Had fun over in your town.
>>143682941
Your town's not showing up anymore.
>>143683284
Yeah I'm sorry about the disconnections, unfortunately it's going to be like that for a few days until the problem is sorted, hopefully the things you got will help you though.
>>143682723
Sorry about the disconnection, do you want to try again? It may be best if I very quickly visit your town.
>>143683572
Gate's open
>>143683790
Could you re-open your gate? It disconnected before I boarded the train after selecting your town and now it's not showing up.
Looking for 2 more people for island tours.

>>143685639
If shitposting on a chinese picture-sharing forum is the only enjoyment in life you still have left you should do the world a favor and kill yourself, my man.
>>143685816
not sure why you think it's necessarily the only thing I enjoy. why do you like posting here? You like building sandcastles with your friends? I like to kick them over.
>>143686012
Ok.
>>143686152
Can I get a Will Smith? And seriously somebody come to my town and drop off any blue chairs or other blue furniture. I'm tried of playing the game alone without blue chairs, just because I abuse everyone so much.
>>143686012

>>143686598

Besides turnips, is there any other ways to get rich prior to night bug island?
I also forgot how many days you have to talk to the shy seamstress before you get the tiles, was it 7 or 10?
>>143686747
Farming perfect fruit is ok-ish. Other than that just fishing at the ocean is decent.
It's 10 times.
>>143686747
Daytime twice a week you'll have the big bell tree. Locate the closest tree directly East (or SOUTH) of your town hall and shake it. You have to shake it 68 times in a row, a chance of 500k-1m bells will drop. Try it twice a day, once before 10am and once after 5pm. It will happen three days per week. Also, talking to blathers over and over again can produce more rare balloon drops.

stop ignoring me and leave the internet
