It's not universally true in all cases that Ts have better weapons, consider mag-7 vs sawn off.
But in sg vs aug, ak vs m4, mac10 vs mp9, Ts clearly have better weapons for cheaper.
So in the pistol round, CTs get a little advantage.
The m4 nerf did affect the meta but not as much as you're suggesting I think.

I'm sure I'm missing some update. My issue isn't the pistol rounds, I think the Ts have a decent pistol meta with raidboss + nades on the tec9 buyer. A P2000 for the P250 would make their pistol round about the same, since the only real difference I can think of it ammo in reserve when there's no head armor, it would make their force buys/ecos worse since they would have to comit for the tec9/cz or not be able to 1 tap. It's minor but I think in the right direction.

The defuse change definitely affected the meta way more than the m4 price changes, and m4a1-s changes imo. But I really don't think pistol rounds have changed their meta at all or really should be altered. Giving Ts p2ks would be a disaster I think.

I thought of it more as removing the P250 from the Ts for force buys or straight ecos where Joe Terrorist can get a lucky tap and take down a ~5K CT investment. Thinking back to the last few weeks of pro games I've seen, it's always seemed like the CTs will get 4 or so rounds in a row losing only 1-2 players per round, then the Ts get a round and the CTs then are forced to make a sloppy buy or eco and the Ts get like 4-5 rounds back until the CTs win an eco or have 4 or 5 players surviving. It's not great as a viewer experience or as fun to play as trading full buy rounds.
