It took me several hours and probably 20 tries to get out of the Asylum. Then it took me several hours to get out of Firelink, because I didn't see the path up along the mountain. Instead I tried to go down the catacombs and got raped by skellies a lot. Then I tried to go down NLR and didn't make it past the first mobs because I didn't know about transient curse. Then I opened that gate with the master key and tried to fight the drakes, and then went down to Blighttown and died a lot. The game sure felt hard.

Anyway can we talk about Demon's Souls? I saw it a few days ago on PSN sale for like 5 yuros and since I heard good things about the Souls games I decided to buy it. Haven't played it to death yet but so far I'd say it's pretty fun. I really like the message system. Took me a while to figure out you healed when someone recommended your messages so for a while I thought "I'm in trouble-- Please recommend this message!" was just shitposting. Is that system in all the Souls games?
Anyway so far I've killed Phalanx, and the Armored Spider with help from a multiplayer guy. It's too bad it was basically him doing everything, I'll have to go back and explore on my own now. It feels like I cheated, but I can't be asked to start another save from scratch. Then I tried exploring more of the palace and died at one of the towers after the red dragon attacks.
Does anyone have some webms of cool things happening in the game? I need to find a goal for myself.

66 str great club has an AR of 621, 40/40 great club is 654. The other hammers you mentioned follow the same line. I use 66 str as the baseline for str since it gives you 99 str when 2 handing.

Why do people consider spotted/notched whips good?
Even with poison/bleed resin, they still take forever to build up enough to have an effect. Without resin, they're just an inferior version of the normal whip.

Recently did a clean install of W7 but I still have windows.old to grab my previous character saves from.
Will simply replacing the new folder that I have nothing on with the windows.old DS3 folder work? Or do I have to be ingame and shit on a new profile and then replace it and restart or whatever. I googled it and the sites are giving me various answers.
