So /gsg/ was being it's normal self, telling EU4 posters to uninstall.exe, upboating Vicky content, etcetera. But one kid got so upset at being told to uninstall he made a new group, discord, it's sort of like the steamgroup but it doesn't even have their infamy. So they decided the way they were going to make a name for themselves was pissing off the majority who like Vicky by calling it a liquor simulator (a play on liquor distilleries being the most consistentily profitable factories in the game). At first they received a lot of support from people who didn't know what discord were doing like EU4 players and people who did think Vicky's economy was too linear. But then they squandered their support by just shitting on the game entirely, saying only liquor is profitable, that people should stop playing it and that HPM is a faggot.
So now every few hours around a dozen posts will come through saying liquor this, liquor that, etcetera, but the thread just reports and ignores them now and they leave/are banned about 10 minutes after they start.
That's another meme. Somebody cross posted the image on HPM's pastebin and found it was also posted on Instagram or some shit, so now the discord faggots call HPM "Alex Grandi mod" because the name of the guy they claim is him, with no proof, is Alex Grandi.
It's all very autistic, but this is /gsg/.

That's the problem: there's no inflation modeled, which is a major flaw of Vicky's economy. The economies would become as much a joke as PDM, because all industrialized nations would be rolling in so much dough it's not even funny.
As it is now, GPs in the lategame only have the cash they do because they produce so much of the goods the rest of the world requires, so the money goes from balanced (game start) to being primarily in the hands of the GPs in the lategame, since most other nations are buying from them. If GPs also produced money via their industry on top of their precious metals provinces, it'd be fucking insane.

I want to make an anthropoid race called the Q'ix Thraa and have their empire be a divine mandate called the Weavers of Truth. Traits will be venerable and nomadic, but decadent and weak. They believe in a prophecy that they are the chosen ones who were born from the void and that they have no true homeworld. I'm going to try and corner the market on Zro as quickly as possible and play them kind of like the Navigator Guild from Dune, this shadowy faction that secretly manipulates through diplomacy instead of direct military confrontation, using bribes and sabotage and spies.

Maybe you should look up the definition of "Grand Strategy," because it has fundamentally little to do with history. GSG is about the simulation of managing a nation's economy and/or military at relatively "realistic" levels. Whether this means you control historically based countries or a futuristic space empire is irrelevant. Civ is not aiming for any true degree of realism, whereas Aurora/EU/CK/Vicky do.
