Anor Londo is just the boss run / 'oh shit i'm here' moment rather than its own area, at the end of the Irithyll area.
The Dungeons were a mostly failed attempt to recapture Tower of Latria, but was relatively well designed and pretty spooky (those eyeless slugmen things in particular)
Profaned Capital and Smouldering Lake are complete shitpiles that actively make the game worse.

It'd be great if it was a straight sword, but they made it a greatsword in a game in which greatswords are entirely outclassed by straightswords. Its weapon art is useful in very select situations against a host who doesn't know any better.
