Chakra punches is something pretty much anyone of importance can do at this point, it's something Lee/Guy do, something Naruto does via steam release or not, something Sasuke can do if him kicking ayyliens through mountains and matching chakra mode Naruto's strength is any indication. It's a lame gimmick, yeah, but it's an essential one. Sakura's big deal is her quick regen, something even Sasuke doesn't have. Has she done anything with such regen, or matched Madara's thing where he replaced half his body with a truth seeker orb? Nah, but she hasn't had occassion to yet.

It's a difference in degree. Everyone in Naruto, including Naruto and Hashirama, has super strength, but Tsuande, specifically has been stated as being physically stronger than Ay. And having your torso separated from your lower body and being able to live from it, just because someone put the pieces next to each other again, is pretty broken. I'd much rather have that sort of Wolverine-esque immortality than something impractical like Amaterasu or the rasengan; only Flying Raijin would really better than being able to make the claim that, "I will never die in battle," even after receiving the most ridiculous of physical trauma.

Kishimoto was gay for the Uchiha, and upgrading the sharingan from mirror eye to just this vague collective of random powers as the plot demands was the single largest mistake he ever made throughout the manga. But Sakura was ultimately shafted less by this than everyone else who wasn't an Uchiha, to the point that she's a better argument for Neji not being right, retroactively, than Rock Lee was by the end. Character with no bloodline hax, from a literal who lineage, becoming kage tier.

Sasuke had a concept behind him. Granted the Uchiha are all shit, but he had something to go on, giving out powers based on deities and wanted everyone to care about the murderous retarded brain-damage superpowered clan of assholes.
I may not have shared his flame for them, and in fact my enjoyment of a chapter was inversely proportional to the amount of sharingan bullshit going on, but it's clear he cared like giving an Uchiha a new power was the only thing that could give him an erection anymore.
Naruto himself was the main hero, and he very much had a concept behind him. Sure he had his iconic attacks and various power ups that tended to tie into whatever bits of plot were around at the time and not much more, but all of that sprung in one way or other from that concept.
I don't think Kishi cared quite as much about him as he did about the Uchiha, but what he gave him tended to be fairly meaningful nonetheless.
Then there was Sakura, who may not have been a secondary character, but fucking hell she's been better off as one. It would have saved her some dignity or something.
Her real problem was that she was nothing. There were no concepts, ideas connected to her at all besides a girl who is NOT cute - which, hate her as much as I might, is blatantly false in terms of looks - and being the show's smart person until it was Shikamaru's turn to be that, so she couldn't fill that niche.
All she ever was was a mini-Tsunade without the tits.
Sauce had his White Snake/Curse Mark shit and Nardo his Sage Mode, which they used a fair bit, but they both had more to rely on for inspiration for new things to do.
Sakura did not have that and never truly broke out of that category, only dug her deeper in the hole with the 'CUNT' label on it.
She's worse than all the other girls specifically because they have a concept. Hinata got Hyuuga buddhist martial arts shit. Ino is a Psychonaut/mindrapist. 10/10 has weaponry.

I'm split on this. On one hand, I really like the Part I power levels displayed throughout most Boruto, and feel that Naruto fell off the cliff after it became DBZ, when any pretext of strategy or of it being about ninjas went out the window. Kishi should have just outlined the limits of the sharingan, and then had the characters utilize it in intelligent and creative ways, instead of constantly writing himself into a corner so that he had to invent new powers, sending everyone else into irrelevancy.
On the other hand, Sarada's pretty much the only Uchiha I've actually liked; the genies out of the bottle now, anyways, so at this point having her get stuck at the one tomoe sharingan would only have the effect of making her look weak. The edgelords got that random, dumbass power, so now she has to get it, as well.

It only matters in online, the offline/story mode battles are either ridiculously easy or complete bullshit with infinite substitutions given to Madara etc. However once you are fighting online, it's best not to just dash in and smash away like you would normally, people will get you quite easily that way.
Try being conservative with your resources like substitutions, and be aware that perhaps the most important thing for character selection, inasmuch as they matter at all, is how fast they are.
