As soon as you do 2 quests at the capital guild, you are automatically forced into it. It was for me. I turned in my second quest at the capital guild, then the guild master ran out after me when I left the guild building and asked me to go stop Eia from going in the jungle. I don't remember there being an option to refuse.
You go into the jungle, and all the monsters are stupidly strong. I had to run past them all because fighting them was impossible. To make matters worse, if you enter water at any point during your time in the jungle (which you have to), the game bugs out and you can no longer open the menu (and thus save the game) from that point on.
Eventually I managed to find Eia, but then there's a cutscene where she gets captured by these jungle people. I snuck into their base and tried to save her, but upon finding her the jungle people all came out and attacked me. They were just as stupidly strong as the jungle monsters, so I got rekt immediately.
After that there was another cutscene of us both getting raped for ages and impregnated, then there was another cutscene where Nanako talks to Eia and Eia tells her the reason she came to the jungle, and Nanako agrees to help her.
From this point on, Nanako bugged out and I was stuck only being able to face left, but fortunately I was now able to open the menu again. After a great struggle, I managed to reach the plant monster thing, only to discover that my only means of hitting it was with that ranged magic attack. I quickly ran out of MP and used up all the MP restore items I had, but fortunately realised I was also able to damage the plant thing by attacking its tentacles that pop up to attack you.
It took fucking ages to beat it. Every few seconds it does this sweeping attack with these really long tentacles which cover pretty much the whole screen. There is no way of blocking or dodging them. Weirdly, they don't do any damage, but when they hit you you get stuck in this cutscene thing showing Nanako being raped by the tentacle.

There's been some recent clamoring on hongfire to try and port VH into MV with some kind of normalized/unicode compliant event codes/image files, but most of it was just people talking about trying to inject their own half-baked 'plot' or OCs into the preexisting framework. Sounded like a recipe for disaster.
I know the nature of the development means it's impossible, but I'd love someone to go back through and try to standardized the sex interactions. There's something like 10 years worth of different ways to do it, and every few years some motherfucker gets a bug up their ass about trying to revolutionize it. The newest minigame shit in the mining town is neat from an animation perspective, but there's no personality to Nanako in them, not to mention the shit's just going to get abandoned by whoever comes through next.

I actually agree with what he is doing, a game shouldn't really get a link before 500 sales unless there's no way it will ever get 500 sales, and this one is going to go well past that. Waiting a couple extra hours in exchange for the dev potentially feeling it would be lucrative to make another game is a fair trade by all accounts. They don't lose anywhere near as many sales after the first day or so if I link appears unless the game gets delayed hype like Princess Sacrifice did, it was stuck at 1500ish sales for a long time and look at it now. Just look at the long term when you plan your fapping, cutting all the flowers off kills the plant or whatever that phrase is.
