I assume it has to be because the graphic of the fire and the feedback the UI gives us is calculated in the client, while the actual damage is calculated by the server, and because I have ~100 ping the visuals on my client and what the server is saying just don't sync up properly.

If you pay attention, you will notice that there is the hit, adn then a half second or so delay until the flooding starts.
Maybe the server does a 'tick' every half second or so, and it is simply a bit out of sync with the client.

Oh goddamnit I read the patch wrong, I thought it was a health increase for all turrets that weren't BB caliber for some reason.
At least it explains why my Kirov keeps losing turrets like there's no tomorrow.
