the fact is IMC didn't finish the game. There's plenty of zones in the 232+ range but they don't have quests. that literally means the game isn't done to their supposed lvl 280 claim. sure you can grind endlessly with shit tier spawn rates/mob density but that isn't the game IMC build. Really, mate? Pretty sure every month I had something new to do in kTOS.
Map completion and mob killing cards weren't there when I started playing. Party search for instances and the crazy EXP bonuses weren't released until I was close to rank 6. Quests used to stop around level 210, and now we have quests even in Nahash, Elgos and Cranto Coast. The 115 dungeon was added amongst others, some instances and missions were balanced to actually be useful. Daily quests were added, rebalanced and improved multiple times. Guild events along with saalus convent were added. Finally ET was added for those who want to try their luck at the level cap.
That abbey next to grynas was added as a grinding map, and I see new recipes being added to the database almost on a biweekly basis. Now they're working on that relatively big GvG update that will actually give GvG some purpose.
I don't know about you but for someone who played from kTOS' release until now I could see and experience the shitload of stuff they've added after a borderline disastrous, rushed release, even while having to prepare for a self published international release.

Wildstar was pretty well managed when it came out, it just had fundamental design problems much in the same way that ToS does. Wildstar appealed to EPIC RAIDER BROZ who make up like <1% of the playerbase but are somehow most vocal, and I really don't fucking know who ToS is trying to appeal to.

The Allods I remember let you buy your own airship, which required a full party consisting of a pilot, navigator, and people to man the cannons/deck against enemies. Many of the endgame dungeons/zones were only accessible by navigating this huge foggy space-ocean, with no discernable maps to lead you there, only a navigator who had good memory/notes.
The best part, though, was that you could literally invade other people's ships, kill them, and go down to the engine room and blow up their ship, forcing them to pay huge repair costs.
It was fucking great, before that patch shit on everything.

Unless you are going to bundle up the longstanding potential system and material trade count limitations in with 'trade restrictions', in which case sure, it blows.
But people only really started complaining when the current restrictions were implemented, and the difference between now and then, is effectively nothing.
Some of its not really needed, like waiting 2 days to retrieve your silver, but with the existing system in place before this, it was already better to just vendor stuff you could only make a small profit on, and only sell big pricey things that might not sell for a while anyway, so the silver retrieval delay could just be imagined as an extra 2 days before someone actually bought the item. Still no effective gameplay impact.

If I get a drop for my friend or someone in guild I am severely limited on my count of total trades that month. It only hurts players and doesn't do enough for bots.
