Mercenary set is really sweet apart from the towelhead. Also i want to try some of the new dual wield weapons and scimitar/dagger style weapons
Also wooden shield has been my favourite since DaS. I'm just pissed off that they keep nerfing it. At this point it's useless for anything but fashion
it had 94 physical def in DaS which made it practically on par with 100% phys shields. It also had fast parries.
Then DaS nerfed it to 85 which was annoying but probably balanced and gave it the med shield parry which seemed excessive. It's basically a small shield that looks cool at this point.
and now it has less than fucking 60% phys block it's worse than some weapons, even though a sturdy oaken metal rimmed shield is as good if not better than some full metal shields.

The meta was 120/125 in des, das1, and bb. It's the most likely stopping point in DaS3 as well. DaS2 was an abnormality. SM is what cause people to level far beyond that in DaS2, and that is gone now.
However, as an invader, you'll want to be a lower level so you can invade people going through the game. At 125, more than just dez will be viable.

all online aspects like invasions and co op allies are replicated by npcs although dev messages are not very common
you don't usually interact with others unless you need help or want to go attack someone
the primary way you are affected by online is the messages written by players using set words like "Ambush ahead, try dashing through" "Tough enemy ahead, weakness: lightning"
you can give messages a +1 vote that gives the player who wrote it a small heal if they are online
embers are a consumable item that fully heals you and increases your maximum hp until you die
if you are in ember form you can summon others to help you but enemies grow a bit stronger when you summon help and other players can invade your world to steal your ember
normally you can have 1 summon and 1 invader but you can increase both using an item
when you are invaded you are given a warning and locked into the zone you are in, you either kill the invader or enter the area boss fog and invader automatically leaves as they cannot enter boss arenas
