Why are so many people going Barb 3 for Fencer? I don't really get it.
Is it just for Warcry? Fencer isn't that reliant on standard attacks, and while the AoEs are nice, 3 circles that late seems like a huge investment just for some AoEs to drop.

SW3 is boring to level, but is by no means suffering.
Even with Pelt/Hop you're mostly auto-attacking anyway, SW3 is all about that.
Once you hit Cata everything becomes easy, Earth Wave is one of the best swordie nukes at that level, really good AoE with a short cd.
Cata is good at all circles (for leveling, you shouldn't stop at C1/C2), and becomes great at C3.
Are tanks even needed? Like ever? I feel like I'm wasting my time leveling something that nobody will take.
Could Sword>Pelt>Hop 3>Doppel>Dragoon do any tanking if needed?

Dismounting to heal, having your pet run off into a group of deadly mobs fainting and then tryign to mount your pet? Probably 30 times a day.
Game breaking bug, if you die while mounted and your pet dies at the same exact time, it might trigger a bug which FOR SOME REASON counts you as both mounted and not mounted. You cannot cast any of your mounted skills, and you cannot dismount or remount.
Brutal.
It's definitely one of the best farming classes if you're looking for low spawns as I run 3x faster than a normal character and 2x faster than a traditional swordsman.

Bosses are easy, you may not have Stabbing to rape them, but Trot makes avoiding their attacks effortless.
You just use your Cata nukes on cooldown and AA the rest of the way.

I've had no problems with it, you have full control over your movement while mounted.
It doesn't attack, but who cares.
I guess the only frustration I have with it is when it loses all HP somehow (warping sometimes unmounts you and it sometimes gets gangbanged), you can't re-mount while it's fainted.
Clearing away the mobs is annoying since you can't use Cata skills unmounted, so I have to bash away the mobs.

Decreases the enemy's AoE attack ratio faster so their attack hits less allies.
Same thing happens when you attack monsters. Their defense ratio gets subtracted from your attack ratio till it reaches 0 and you don't hit any more at the same time. Swordsman have a default ratio of 4, which means if you attack monsters that have a defense ratio of 1 you can hit 4 at the same time with one attack. If the monsters have 2 or 3 defense ratio then you would only hit 2 of them.

I use Swell anytime I want to farm a specific item.
To date I've gotten 2 Wizard Bracelets in one drop, 2 Glass Bracelet recipes, 2 Bracelet of Linne recipes, 2 Magic Talisman recipes, 2 Roxona robes, pants and gloves recipes, 2 Desert Chupacabra ears and countless rare material drops including a bunch of Mithril Ore (I think 8), 2 Vubbe Fighter Bloods, 4 Bloodstones, 2 Obsidians and more I can't even remember.
Let's not forget, everything I kill is also giving twice as much exp and gold so I'm pretty much welcome in any grinding party ever.

So I might be retarded and spoiled because of newer MMOs being so braindead easy, but why am I struggling so early in the game? I'm 45, and am having trouble doing the level 50 quests available to me. Mobs have insane aggro radius and I can't kill large packs as a QS2 because I don't do much damage with oblique anymore and I'm basically chugging pots on cooldown
Did I miss something? I tried not using cards to this point, but I used them and am still struggling. I did every sidequest and 100% explored all the zones for those bonus cards too. Was there a grind I was supposed to do or a dungeon I missed?

But as a Pyromancer 2/Thaumaturge 3, I can kill anything except those awkward mobs with like 50k health in 10 or less seconds. Being able to boost my magic attack by like 450 makes it easy to do that.

If you still had quests to do at 177, then you still 'had' them, you just needed to get them.
The 160-186 thing takes into account all future cards you're getting, up to Lv8s.
There are people who get stuck in the lower 180s, with no more quests available to them, because they carded out of the dun145 and Prison/Bees range too soon probably because they wanted R6 asap.

iirc around that level I needed to go through my adventure log and do some kill achievements for more cards. Going back to beginning 1-25 areas and BTFOing all the low level enemies is super easy, even if the exp they give is shit-to-nonexistent the cards are nice and it goes by fast because you can round them all up and one shot them.

I haven't spent much time playing corsair but honestly it doesnt seem that great for C1. I hear from almost everybody that C2 corsair is great though, while C3 corsair isn't worth it at all. The costume looks fantastic though and i'm definitely enjoying it. Though Jolly Roger isnt nearly as good as it once was which is definitely a shame
