I think i should finally try Sim City. Is 2000 a good place to start? Can i play on like lowest difficulty, i just wanna place buildings and be comfy.

2000 is fine. SC4 is the best one out of them all.
I've been working on a new map for SC4, this is an older version I have rendered - I've since started working on the valley terrain.
I've got the unrendered height map (and also my map plan) if anyone is interested
By some magic I managed to compress this from 61mb to 3.9

arguably simcity 4 is the easiest to get into. 2000 has no tutorial and 3000 is a pain to run on modern systems.
If you do play simcity 4, highly reccomend you install Network Addon Mod since it fixes some stuff and just overall makes the game better.
