Raid Bosses trigger every 70 or so Heartless you defeat.
The attribute of the Heartless you last killed determines the Raid Boss.
If you lose to a Raid Boss, your party will receive a call for help and then they can fight the Raid Boss.
Then, when you go to challenge it again, any damage your party has done will show up for you.

It's kinda like the sphere grid in that, but divided among your equipment.
You earn avatar coins normally by playing, and you spend them on the nodes to increase AP, HP, something related to the Keyblade that I don't really understand, and unlock the equipment in question.
It's pretty straightforward, just check back every once in a while and blow your coins on clearing those nodes.

Multiple enemy swipes do less damage than individual but your ideal goal is to do as much damage in the shortest amount of turns and multiple spreads even amount of damage in short time(ultimately aiming to kill the enemy before they can even attack since almost all level mission has this one)
it all depends on a case by case basis
Typically you'll be using individual attack to clean up a straggler before the turn ends

Yep, unlocks are passive and universal, you can keep your starting clothes on if you want to and get all the benefits from the shit you unlock.
It's also best to unlock everything in one equip before moving to another because the nodes start getting more expensive past a certain point.

Actually, the scorched earth approach is best.
Unless you care about cosmetics, just unlock the first 4~ nodes that have cost, ap, and hp, then wait for new clothes. When you run out of clothes, go back and get the others.
The above way ensures that you get the max stat boosts for you character at any point in time. Always take the least cost node among all of your shit.

You're going to want to do the most damage and try to kill it off yourself because the more damage you do the more xp and munny you get and raids give a tons of xp.

This game is pretty much only a solo game. Unless you're talking about supports. Well then, you need to pick one all the time. The better supports make the game easier, but it's not like it's more fun the harder it is.
Parties are broken in this game. If you join a max member party, you will level up stupid fast and have access to really good supports. There's literally no reason not to join a party. The game is not that fun or challenging.

This game is really grindy. You don't need to roll 5* shit. You can level up and evolve your medals. Obviously it saves you a few resources, but honestly leveling up and grinding resources does not require much at all.

I sell 1 star trash. Sell Moogles obviously. Just use up the ducks. I'd keep 2 stars as much as they max out your Keyblades. It's worth it to level them up and abuse the typing. You do a lot more damage that way.

If I hadn't gotten my hours cut at work I probably would've gone for it.
I managed to get Cloud Illust. Ver., and it was and still is insanely useful and powerful. Aqua is basically that but for Magic, and now there's a Ven Illust. for Speed (which I also didn't get).
I'm doing just fine without them, but the game's getting pretty difficult, especially Adamantite quests which are required to upgrade Keyblades after a certain point.
