My investment isn't too great. I have Starbound but I never paid for it. I got it for free on the early Starbound threads when the devs crashed and threw out some keys.

After Tiyuri fled to Something Awful to hide from his unpleasant fanbase, he started hanging around the SA Starbound IRC chatroom to talk because goons were more sympathetic (or perhaps sycophantic) than the people on Starbound's forums.
He leveled with the chatters all of his problems including coding issues. Tiy's problem with multi-biomed planets is that he couldn't imagine a planet having multiple background biomes without the background fading between biome graphics like in Terraria. One chatter (by the name of something like Nessie) suggested the background be tile-based like the foreground. Nessie's idea had some problems but in general was a good idea especially with the alternative being single-biome planets.
Not only did Tiyuri dismiss Nessie's idea with incredible condescension, when Nessie pressed the issue a bit Tiy asked other chatters to harass and insult Nessie. Eventually, Nessie was banned from the IRC chatroom.
On the SA forums Nessie started attacking the Starbound devs in the SB thread. Tiy and his friends had a big laugh about it and within the secrecy of the SA IRC chatroom, Tiy overlooked (but didn't actually participate) in a group of chatters planning on getting Nessie banned by egging him into posting something racist/sexist/whatever.
No idea if the guy actually got banned but there ya go.

I also tried a little bit of Mad Father and Mermaid Swamp. They're some Nipponsese horror RPGs. First one is about a mad scientist father, and the second is about a spoopy mermaid ghost that got all fucked up because it's body, normally used to the sea, didn't agree with the swamp water it's human lover brought her to live in.
