You literally still take the same amount of swings to break almost everything in the mine with it compared to gold.
Should've upgraded the can first since you don't have a sprinkler setup, so you can water more plants, get more profit and then just buy bombs for mining.

The bonus from upgrading axe and pickaxe to iridium from gold is negligible.
Same can be said about hoe and watering can but if you're still early in game and actively expanding your farm then you'll want to prioritize those two first with can taking precedence.

My ideas for buildings are simple enough
1. Fishery. Place fish you want into it and they'll breed to make more, this goes along with my idea of a man-made lake
2. Underground rapids. Part of a cave system expansion, could provide a easier way to get batteries with a water wheel.
3. Mill/Windmill. I always loved the idea of windmills and having one on my farm to produce grain would be awesome.
4. More Greenhouses. This one could seem rather game breaking but the idea is once you get the greenhouse unlocked you can get Robin to build more.
5. Slime Hutch expansion. Slightly bigger Slime Hutch, more slimes and an auto-feeder like system for the water bins.
6. Storage/Production buildings. I deal primarily in artisan goods in my current playthrough so having buildings dedicated solely for storage and production would be nice so I wouldn't resort to using barns and coops as storage spaces.
7. Cellar. This is more of a expansion on the house then a new building and could also be seen as an alternative to the storage/production idea but a cellar would make a lot of sense as an expansion.

The one greenhouse already puts you on the railroad to being a millionaire. Unless farming, or both berries and ancient fruit, are nerfed to hell, it's a shit idea. Expanding the greenhouse would be a better idea, but it better cost a fortune and a half.

First give the Slime Hutch a point to even be built in the first place.

CA already confirmed we're going to get a "shed" building in the next big patch.

Upon reflection I came to the conclusion that kegs are objectively superior. Ultimately the key is fruit production, not artisan crafting multiplier. If you assume that you have an infinite number of ancient fruit, of course the preserves jars are better because of their shortened production time.
But no one has infinite ancient fruit, the greenhouse can only hold so many. In that case, you want to maximize profits on every single fruit, so kegs all the way.
That said, if you're running a blueberry/cranberry megafarm with like 1200 plants it's probably a better idea just to get a shitton of preserves jars and burn through the backlog asap.

Guys, I've been crunching the numbers and I'm unsure why there's so much preference to kegs over preserving bins. Let's do some math:
>Ancient Fruit: 750G
>AF Wine: 2250G
>AF Jelly: 1550G
So, at a cursory glance it's pretty obvious the wine sells for about 45% more than the jelly. However, when we factor in production times the wine starts to fall short.

>Jelly: ~2 days
In the time it takes to produce 1 wine you can make 3 jelly.

>Jelly: 1550Gx3=4650G across 7 days per bin
You essentially double your profit per crop by favoring jelly over wine. You'll also need less real estate for the preserving bins than you would kegs at a 3:1 ratio. Sure, it's slightly more work to have to do each week but doubling your profit seems worth it to me.
So why do so many people suggest kegs again?
